716 AP2’s for sale. Real or fake?

 I know this is been asked a lot on this website, but I have some questions about a set that I am looking at which are for sale in my area.  They are new clubs, but the seller bought them on eBay.  I have checked them against friends 716’s and I can’t tell the difference, but I am not an expert on Titleist clubs by any means.  One of the things that seems off is the grips don’t say Titleist. My understanding is the 716’s had Titleist on the trip and they stopped doing it with the 718’s.  Any feedback would be much appreciated thank you.

They look really nice. I have de AP1 716. Could you check with titleist the serial number of the set?

They look pretty authentic to me from the pictures. If you can't see any difference to other 716 set in person I think you are good. Little details like the hosel id or the shrink wrap over the grips looks like what Titleist new clubs look like. Things like the shrink wrap with the red pull strip is the kind of detail that I don't believe a forgery club would bother spending time and money on. Other detail you could look at is the shaft band on your set vs. the known legit set. Graphics details on things like that will often give away a fake.

Can't be totally certain but they look legit to me.
