That's how everyone starts their intro thread, right?

I have been playing golf for 6 years and absolutely love it, I can never get enough - I am missing it right now and was looking for a place just like this.

I have put a 21 hcap, but I have actually never monitored it - that is just a guess - I generally shoot mid to high 90's. I will be keeping track of my scores this season for the 1st time.

Ok, nobody likes me, that's fine.

Wondering if someone could tell me if I am somewhat close to what my handicap would be if I shot consistently in the 90's.

Thanks for the reply Wisco Kid - glad to find a place like this during the winter.

The weather here is awful, but was able to play on Florida a couple times when I was down there recently.

I tend to shoot more towards the mid 90's so I guess that # will rise

Salty, I feel your pain. I live in Wisconsin and our winter has been worse then ever! Freezing cold, snow, blah blah blah. I came to this forum for the same reason to talk some golf with some other golfers.

      Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.

      Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done!       Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
