Golf and Connecticut are fine in the summer, but as soon as early december rolls around you are screwed. Ya, there might a couple of places you can hit balls but that is about all you can do. Also when you are there, you are complaining half the time about the cold and don't even focus on the shots you do hit.

Anyways I am 15 years old 16 in may and cannot wait for the spring and our golf season to come back. Golf is basically my life and I wish to play as long as I live. When I graduate from high school I am hoping on attending one of the 18 accreditied universities that offers PGM (Professional Golf Management). Right now I am strongly looking at Methodist University, FSU, and Florida Gulf Coast University.

Now that I am done talking about me, tell me about all the forumers I need to find some friends on this place because it looks really bad if you write and no one responds so PLEASE

I'm 15 as well, but I don't turn 16 until this december, but I live in Alaska, and from my point of view you are lucky, since golf here starts in May and ends in September. Any ways, welcome to the boards, and hope you like it as much as I do.

Im 15 Also, I live in Canada where Golf Season is May-October. I also love golf, but feel its almost slipping away because I need to get a job this year and I lost my golf membership at my home course.

I live in MA so I feel your pain. If you can get over to the RI coast there are a couple of places around newport area you can still play even now. Its not warm but there is no snow on the ground (for the most part) and the ground isnt frozen. best of luck

I'm from Mass also. I got in one day at an outdoor range last week, and today I went to and indoor range.
That's about it for me this winter.
Oh well, soon enough we'll be out there

      Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.

      Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done!       Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
