  1. So I just killed one of these tees. Still have 2 left though haha
  2. Heard good things and considered it but we had to skip that one this trip 😕
  3. Awesome! Thank you! Since you're in the area though. I have two days to play two different courses. Some recommended Falcon, Disney Buena and Orange National. So if I only had two courses to play in the area, would recommend any 2 over others?
  4. Headed out to Orland this June. Falcon Fire (https://www.falconsfire.com/) was recommended but I'm not seeing a lot of activity on their social accounts, for anyone in the area or recently visited, how is the course and conditions?
  5. Basically the participation trophy of golf manufacturers. Like Oprah passing out swag, "you get a gold medal, you get a gold medal" 😹😹😹
  6. and 10 years later, still the same. Just got the issue in the mail and I just skip over that whole section, to me it's pointless.
  7. Yeah I had 7 different options for hybrids between 19 and 25 degrees that were between 180 and 204 yards. They all offered different launches, spin, and decent angles so that's something to consider. Yeah totally have room for a 14th, maybe I'll carry two drivers like Phil haha
  8. Based on all this I just sold the HMB's. I'll admit I'm still a little sad about that because the gear junkie in me still wanted the new shiny Mizuno's to 'win' but hey I'll just save up for more lessons, or get some other fun gear at some point.
  9. Just getting back into the game I went simple for 2022 • I resolve to improve my overall health and golf fitness. • I resolve to take a lesson before buying new equipment. • I resolve to practice with intention. I went a little more in depth on my explanation here, wasn't sure if I should have posted all of that here. 2022 New Year's Resolutions For Golf - Everardo.Golf There are countless studies that show people who make resolutions fail at them. 'They' say when you make New Year's Resolutions that you should write them down, declare them, share your goals with others, so here we go:
  10. Canadian clubfitter that got a lot of popularity based on their YouTube channel.
  11. I did my own gapping session, after several sessions, over several different days, I ended up with this for now which gives me about 14 yards difference between clubs Driver 9.5 4 Wood 16.5 Hybrid 21 5 26 6 30 7 34 8 38 9 42 P 46 A 50 G 54 L 58
  12. I actually saw Matt's post before I heard the news, yikes, then after digging a little more and seeing Ian's video it sounds like Matt was there for the initial talks, knew about the deal well before, so that seems way more telling to me than anything.
  13. In case anyone missed it.... From the press release“We are incredibly excited to bring Ian and his crew into the Club Champion family,” said Nick Sherburne, co-founder of Club Champion. “We’re looking forward to bringing the best of both our capabilities together to serve every golfer.”This integration marks the first time that Club Champion will bring their club fitting services beyond USA borders. Simultaneously, this represents a massive opportunity for the TXG brand; the intent behind this merger is to further expand custom club fitting services across the Canadian golf market and to bring some crossover to the fitting content available for all golfers from both brands.“There has always been a mutual admiration between TXG and Club Champion,” said Ian Fraser, TXG’s founder. “We share a similar belief that every golfer deserves the best possible equipment for their game, and now we get to work together to further that message.”The online presence of both brands will be bolstered by this acquisition and allow for both to expand their content capabilities. Club Champion has an in-house studio and production crew, while Fraser and his team have built an incredible digital platform through social channels, including YouTube. TXG has amassed millions of views across the digital board, with 175K subscribers on YouTube alone at the time of publication. Their existing content strategy will lend itself well to Club Champion’s growing presence, and both brands will lean on each other to produce even more quality content for golfers of all levels.“We’ve got a podcast, they’ve got a podcast. They’ve got awesome video content and we’ve only just started dipping our toes into that lake,” says Adam Levy, CEO of Club Champion. “This partnership is about so much more than just the masterful club fitting and building services we both offer. It’s about bringing two of the most prominent names in the golf equipment industry together to promote the best possible clubs, the best possible experience, and the best possible service you can find this side of a Tour card.”
  14. yup, pretty much why I started this whole thing, I like shiny things too and it's been fun to test these side-by-side over the past few weeks. I posted my most recent session with them and the "old" irons are competing just fine when you compare the numbers. (see below) Oh and I have some interesting numbers to share when I compared my 2006 Srixon Z-RW driver to a 2019 Callaway Epic Flash, and 2020 PXG 0211 I thought this might be true but so far I'm not seeing that in testing my irons.
  15. Here's another update, this time with the 7 irons but results have been very similar with 5-P. So as many of us answered, yes, old clubs can still compete just fine. Now since I'm not a robot, and recovering from back surgery, I've been testing all these irons together and separately for multiple sessions over the past couple weeks. Somedays I'm better than others but this snap shot is an average of the last 10 shots. All the lofts and lie angles were adjusted to match. The same ball and launch monitor were used. KZG and Srixon both have RP Project X shaft, the Mizuno's have Oban shaft. Swing weights vary quite a bit, the Mizuno's are D0, Srixon's D4, and KZG's are D7 Club Ball Smash Launch Spin Height Carry Total KZG Evolution (2004) 81.9 117.3 1.43 21.4 5865 99.4 170 180 Mizuno HMB (2020) 84.0 116.0 1.38 20.4 6782 95.7 166 176 Srixon I-506 (2006) 86.0 115.5 1.34 20.7 6917 97.8 165 174
