Dissapointed in Bridgestone Tour-B330RX
hkmp5 replied to mutadayen's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I bought a box they did nothing for me went back to the pro v1 and could not be happier, way over rated imo -
Honeymoon phase pure and simple , buy the nike, two weeks later you will fing another that you can hit 600 yds perfectly , buy a club and stay out of the golf shops for awhile, keep it .

Go early in the morning right when they first open on off days which are mondays around here, nobody's on the coarse . My golf buddy and I tee off 4 times a week at 5:45 am the coarse is still closed but we worked out a deal with the managment to pay when we are finished aroung 8.00 works out great and I'm at work by 8:30 if you are playing by yourself use 2 balls and practice all you can If you have a bad shot grab another ball and get it right.

Yes I do have plenty of money, I also would never break a club just because I shot a bad score, I would give my clubs away before I would consider that old club or new . What you call fortunate I call spoiled , you calm down. I'm just guessing here but I would bet his parents gave him is clubs had he worked for them like I did, I'm sure he wouldnt break them over his knee. -

Or he could have handed the club to some kid who could not afford it and made the kids day, Oh but that wouldnt be cool huh ? -

Did your mommy by it for you ? maybe she can by you a new one so you can break it again when you have a bad day. let me guess you were raised at the country club you dad has a high paying job and you get to act like your two. I use to have friends just like you in high school , I thought it was neat that they had every thing handed to them when they wanted it , funny thing is 30 years later they still act the same way. grow up. -
I shot my best round last week a 81 on a tough coarse , what kills me is one or two blow up holes , when I shot my 81, I had a bad tee shot , I let it go and played smart golf instead of trying for the hero shot. I would punch it out and give myself a second chance . stay calm and only think of the shot you are doing at the moment focus focus focus and stay relaxed. In the past I could go out on the practice greens and do well but I found myself getting up tight when it counts. for example the longer the hole the harder I would try and hit my driver until I realized that hitting my driver easy and keeping it in the fairway was all that really counted. last week on a par five I hit my driver left of the fairway not bad but not ideal second shot 203 yds 19 degree hybrid I stuck the ball three feet from the pin putting for eagle, I looked up pulled it right it lipped out Damb! lost my focus made birdie. funny game but when you finally shoot a lower score you will get that monky off your back and the next one will be easier.

My golf buddy is the nicest guy in the world as long as he is winning and shooting pars and birdies , but lately I have put a lot of pressure on him because I can give him a run for his money and when he gets behind and makes a few bad shots look out. clubs start flying, loud cussing starts and then he beats his tee after a bad drive all the way to china. It takes the fun out of it for everyone else in the group, he mentioned that he should put his clubs up for a while and I think he was quite shocked when I completly agreed with him. Good golf buddies are hard to find and you really need to find someone who has the passion for golf and is willing to work at it.

Good for you I would have done the same thing , The next shot that he took I would have made a comment about the loop in his back swing and ask him why he did that.

I'm such a snob

Sentimental Ballmarkers/Ballmarker of Choice
hkmp5 replied to Beantown Beancounter's topic in Golf Talk
There is a small metal ball inside all golf balls so if you use a magnetic ball marker it will pull your partners ball out of alignment and he will miss the putt. -
You will not get a divot tool that stopped with the studio style , silver head cover is included first thing to do is get rid of the cord no cord grip and put a baby T on it much better grip imo , 33 incher means you get 20 gram weights if you want lighter ones which I did you have to send it to scotty to have them replaced , very stupid again imo, just remove the old ones first or you wont get them back. I bought the studio select 1.5 34 with 15 gram weights and I'm very happy with it , I also own a scotty santa fe oil can and like that better because there is almost no glare compared to the stainless ones, I also have a circa 62 which is a great fast green putter just a tad lighter then the santa fe. Enjoy it and don't let the cameron bashers get to you, scotty must be doing something right as Tiger wont let his go quite yet. :)

Ever think you bought the wrong driver?
hkmp5 replied to Bear's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have a 11.5 degree loft on my driver which is a titleist 907d2 I had a ping 9.5 before it and it was a worm burner most of the time . -
This matter has been resolved with seller mods please lock this thread Thank you for the support

I bought what I thought was a Brand new santa fe putter at least thats what his ad said , but I guess brand new to some is a putter that has been gamed and has a dent, ( bag chatter) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280360318743 I emailed the guy and his story has changed twice , he said his buddy bought and he was selling it for him , Ya, o.k .thanks it was suppose to be a 34 inch but it's a 35 "Gee sorry" just go play it and have fun, He tossed into a box that had some paper in it, I guess it was to much of a hassle to wrap it up .

Evertime I start to have a good round my golf buddy just cant stand it and makes the same comments , the wheels fall off the bus and I end up in the toilet. I have to agree if you want to score low, you need to be by yourself maybe not as fun with a few buddies but you will truly know what you did and that's all that matters .

Modified Scotty Cameron Detour putter
hkmp5 replied to Cut Back....'s topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Throw it in the trash can, why ruin a good putter? here's a tip for you, cut all the excess metal off the tow of your irons you really don't need it and we all know hitting balls on the tow produces ugly shots. -
Almost as bad as the grunters uhhh uhhhh uuuh

All summer long my golf buddy and I tee off before the coarse is open we just pay at the turn, as long as we can see our ball we go, which is around 5:45 at the peak of summer. now it's around 6:30 is the earliest.

Stand behind him and give him the advice right back, Ask him why he has a big loop at the top of his back swing or why he pauses on his take away, mess with his head , keep it up until he gets the hint. Chances are he plays at the same level you do but thinks buy giving you advice that he is some how better. Ray
