  1. I hit the 905r for a whole round this weekend and struggled to keep it in the fairway. My driver is the 907D2 and I hit it much straighter than the 905r. I realize that the 905r is supposed to be easier to work from side to side but I found it difficult to control. I guess playing a bit more with it would help, but I like my 907D2 just fine.
  2. I switched from the Titleist 755's to the 695cb's mainly because i prefer the less amount of offset in the 695's and I wanted a lower ball flight. They are both great clubs and I have not noticed any difference in forgiveness. For a players cavity back iron I think the 695cb's are very hard to beat, but if you already hit a low ball then maybe the Mizuno MP57's or the Titleist 735 or 755's would be awesome. IMO all are fantastic clubs.
  3. How are those working for you? I had the 755's but prefer the softer feeling of these. I had Project X 6.0's in my 755's and thinking of putting 6.5's in these.
  4. New additions are the 695cb's and the x stiff shaft in the driver and hybrid
  5. Do you ship internationally and if so how much is a set of Rifle Flighted Projext X 6.0?
  6. Why did you get rid of your 695cb's?
  7. Why don't you try the 695cb's for that little bit extra forgiveness. The thing with the cb's is that they are going to give you a very similar launch to the mb's but a bit more forgiveness. Anyways I'm pretty sure you know better than most of us what's going to suit you and I can't imagine that a player of your caliber would buy any clubs without testing them out.
  8. Should be getting my 695cb's in two days. Started a year ago (last October)with the enormous Ping Raptures. When I look at those clubs now I shudder at the enormity of the club face. Anyways I then switched to the Titleist 755's back in June. I absolutely love these clubs. Unfortunately for my bank account I hit my buddies 695cb's quite a few times the last three times we played together and fell in love with them. I ordered a set yesterday while we were on the course. :) I'll be posting my impressions after a couple of weeks of having them. The thing that most separates them from the 755's is that they are much softer to me and of course I love the less is more look of them.
  9. It took me a year to get from 28 to 5.8. My swing is definitely not great, and could never be called pretty, but my hand eye coordination is very good so I'm pretty consistent despite not having a swing that I am happy with when i see it on video (my brother's phone). I would have to say that chipping and putting are the most important aspects of the game and that's what I will focus on in this coming year. My putting is quite terrible. The other day i shot a 74 and missed 10 out of 11 birdie putts. I hardly ever practice on the range, but do play at least 4 times a week (2 rounds of 18 and 2 rounds of 9). I never practice putting and rarely chipping so its not rocket science that I need to. I am so addicted to playing golf that I find it hard to drag myself over to the range. It doesn't help that the range at my club is total crap. I hope that with a bit more discipline that I can get down to scratch by this time next year. Even if I don't, that's ok, because I am enjoying being out there so much and that's what its all about really...at least for me.
  10. Not even a close one to call. Hybrid is far easier, every time.
  11. 907D2 or Rapture. I love both of these drivers.
  12. American Pittbull Terrier is the greatest breed on earth. :) My Mother didn't talk to me for two months when I got my first one, because of all the terrible publicity they get in the media. Anyways, she now has two of her own, and so do several of her friends.
  13. They are awesome irons. They look amazing at address, they are actually quite forgiving, and when you hit the sweet spot they are simply amazing. I know that they are not as easy to manipulate as muscle back forged irons, but they are much more forgiving. I would definitely recommend them to someone with a 15 handicap. I got them when I was a 13 handicap and loved them from the first day.
  14. Johnny Walker Black is my drink, usually mixed with ginger or soda. I also love Johnny Gold, Green or Blue on the rocks, but save them for special occasions due to price.
  15. I agree with the Aaron Baddeley, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose vote.
  16. Since I seem to hit greens in regulation most of the time, I have to opt with make every putt. I shot a 74 a couple of weeks ago while missing 10 out of 11 birdie putts. The majority of which were 10 feet or less.
  17. I'll use my 60/8 from 80 yards in. I also have a 52 and 56 in the bag so it really depends on what kind of lie and approach I'm looking at. Do I want more or less run, etc when the ball hits down is a big factor.
  18. I use both, depending on what I'm in the mood for. The hybrid is easier, but the 3i is a lot more satisfying to me. I'm thinking of getting a 2i just to be able to have the option like i do with my 3i.
  19. On a 540yrd par 5, if I hit two solid shots I'd be on the green. Usually that would be my Driver followed by my 2 iron. I don't have a 3 wood in my bag anymore as I hit my 2 iron almost as long and more accurately by far. Naturally if I'm playing like crap then I'd lay up. Also if there is considerable water protecting the green, then I'd most likely lay up to 80 yards and then use my lob wedge from there.
  20. Ok its been one year now and I've got down to a 9.4. This next year, I would like to get down to a 4. I know that's a tough goal, but I figure its better to aim high and see what happens. If I could learn to putt better I'd be there already. Shot a 74 last week with 34 putts.
  21. My first putter which I purchased back in December of 2006, was an Odyssey 3 ball. I got that because that's what my uncle had, and it was the only putter I had tried. I pretty quickly (3 months) figured out that I hated it with a passion. I then splurged and got a Scotty Newport Studio 2 and love it. That being said putting is not the strongest part of my game. I shot a 74 the other day and had 34 putts. I missed 10 out of 11 birdie putts in that round, which was pretty discouraging. I have just purchased a Seemore FGP putter (for $70 off of Golfsmith) as the alignment aid intrigues me. So I'll report on that in a few weeks when I've given it a chance.
  22. The only thing that really jumps out at me, is that your hybrid is way too lofted. If your hybrid is supposed to be acting as your 3 iron then it should have a loft of approx 21 degree, not 26. Also you should think about getting a 52 degree wedge as a gap in between your PW and 56. I am also somewhat of a beginner so I don't know nearly as much about clubs as others on this forum. That being said, my instincts were to get rid of my "super game improvement" Ping Raptures and go with Titleist 755's back in June and I'm glad I did. Whereas my Pings tended to hide my swing flaws somewhat, my Titty's highlighted them, thus forcing me to improve my mechanics and ball striking. During that time I've gone from a 21 to a 13. I have really no idea what's right for you obviously, but I do know that one size does not fit all. Good luck.
  23. You've got to be insane to enjoy it.
  24. Yeah that's true. What's truly criminal though is me beating mine up on these island roads. But I always wanted one, and I don't think I'm going to be living anywhere else for a while. So far so good.
  25. Ok finally got a couple of good pics of the car. This isn't actually my one, but its exactly the same. Same color, spec, etc. I don't know how much people really know about this car, but its pretty much at the top of Asian motorsport. I've really enjoyed it over the last several years and hope to keep it forever.
