Yes, it's insane what their rates have gone up to the past few years. I just checked US Open week and green fees are now at $324.51. They are almost completely booked for that week. So somebody is paying!

Sounds like you guys had a great time. Next time you'll have to get to Tot Hill Farm in Asheboro (kinda, sorta between Greensboro and Pinehurst). It's another Mike Strantz (Tobacco Road) course that was recently renovated. Tot Hill Farm Golf Club | Mike Strantz Design 50 Minutes from Pinehurst, NC Tot Hill Farm is a must play, bucket list golf experience located 50 minutes from Pinehurst, Charlotte, Raleigh and the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.

First person that came to mind to replace him would be Colt Knost with CBS... Might be too big of a jump for NBC to gamble on though going from on course commentator to lead golf analyst.

I guess there's hope for all of us!

Forgot to post it last week, but I shot an 86 at Beacon Ridge in West End, NC on 7/16 . I had 6 GIR with 5 fairways and 36 putts.

Same for Rickie...

Scottie would be on a Tiger-like run if he could putt... Good lord... That's gotta be so frustrating for him.

All the barrancas give me big Pinehurst No. 2 vibes. Seems like a pretty cool course, looking forward to watching!

Article on Course Length, Tee Choices - the Whole "Tee it Forward" Idea
Golfer20 replied to bkuehn1952's topic in Golf Talk
I live close enough to Longleaf Golf and Family Club which uses the tee system that the article mentions to where I've played it several times and I have seen people taking the assessment and playing from the appropriate tees: I also like the idea of the "combo tees". -

I loved what Brad Faxon had to say here: Brandel's hatred of LIV is almost getting a little weird at this point... But then this interview with former Golf Channel employee Lisa Cornwell popped up in my Twitter feed today and I feel like it explains a lot about Brandel and the person he is: She even has an entire chapter in her upcoming book dedicated to him (chapter 13).

I'm glad you were able to see some improvement by seeing Gig. I live about an hour from Lexington, and I have never heard of Sapona Golf Club. I'll have to drive up there and play it soon.

These past couple of months I have been continuing the weight shift piece where I "fall forward" on the down swing. I think this will always be something that I have to work on and check from time to time along with my grip and stance. Recently on Evolvr, I have been instructed to do what's called a "twist & roll" where I bow or arch the wrist on the downswing. This is another way to square the face that helps to prevent my right hand from throwing in the downswing to square the face which sometimes leads to fat shots for me. Doing this has also helped me with how my impact position looks: Before: After: I am now struggling with thin shots, which may be from me not doing enough weight shift forward, but I am sure I'll be able to clean up this up through Evolvr. It's nice to have a good looking impact position for once.

Yes, I watched it. I think it was pretty good and held my interest for the entire video. It'll be interesting to see the people that he is able to get on his channel. I assume they will be notable considering he is Nick Faldo.

I played Quail Rige GC today in Sanford. I played from the white tees and shot a 79 with 10 GIR and 8/14 fairways with 34 putts. I am happy with the way my game is trending! Just have to continue to work on my short game.

After watching the Genesis this weekend and hearing it non-stop over 4 days from announcers and then seeing numerous tweets like this one: I have to ask - why do they keep insisting this? Isn't there enough data from pressure plates and the videos themselves that prove right-handed golfers do not push off their right foot in the downswing? Even just looking a slow-motion video on Youtube you can see that pros do not push off their right foot in the downswing: I guess as @iacas said in this tweet: #FeelAintReal

After watching the Joel Dahmen episode, I can't believe he made it to the PGA with his attitude. He has no confidence in his game and seems perfectly content to finish T41 every tournament.

The part of this video that stuck out to me is around 9:30 when AMG called out Milo for misinterpreting forward bend as side bend. Just shows you AMG's content is head and shoulders above everybody else. There's nothing like facts!

Played Hyland Golf Club in Southern Pines yesterday. Shot an 86 with 11/14 fairways and 7 greens. I had 37 putts with 2 three putts. Felt pretty good tee to green, just have to start scoring better!

Curious if you've gotten the chance to play at Keith Hills? I played there last weekend and it looks like Campbell University has a very good PGA program.
