yes there is a difference in clones and the real thing. But not all are bad. I use to use a copy of the calloway x16 and they were great so one a budget there ok but your still better getting a set of used clubs name brand

Im the same I love just looking around I spend more time in the used sections of the stores (usally golf smith) cause thats about all I can afford. But im the same on ebay i can spend hours just on ebay looking lol

my dad is the only reason I got started in golf. Love and hate him for that hehe just kidding. He has been playing since I was born 28 now. When I was 12 he got me a starter set and I played here and there nothing much but recently I love it even more cause as you get older you enjoy the time with your father more. SO There is nothing better for me then taking a day off getting my dad and hitting the best sport ever... Oh we both love the 19th hole too!!!! lol
