  1. Why would any tourney not want Tiger there. He draws people in to watch. He is better to have at your event than a giant damn dinosaur. But, if Clive would rather have a dinosaur than Tiger, that is his choice. I am sure the Australian PGA can find a better place to host an event.
  2. I have moved to blades over the past couple of months and love it. I do have those bad shots here and there, but I have much better ball control. I make great contact and have a good flight to the ball. The great shots I am making with blades outweigh the bad shots. I love them. I will not go back to cavity backs.
  3. An injury sidelined me from playing a lot of golf for more than half the year. And I will be moving in August. So this year's goals are going to be very simple. Score into the 80s, regularly. Play at least 2x a month. That is it. Hope all works out for me.
  4. Thanks for doing this. I have played a few years now and I never was part of a group of people I knew. So, this should make it more interesting.
  5. I have no problem with events like this. But, for the Tour events, I think pants are a must.

    2012 NFL Season

My Sunday's are free for more golf. I am done watching the NFL until the old refs come back. I can't watch a game where the outcome is screwed up by bad refs.
  7. Tiger is my pick, but I would like to see Kuchar and Bubba up there on Sunday with a chance.
  8. Changed a few things with my stance and started hitting my driver straight. So, my best shot is a great 290 yard drive straight down the fairway. That felt amazing to confidently hit a tee shot with a string full swing and have it end up in the fairway. That felt better than a 25 foot put for birdie in the same round.
  9. I had the same gascar shades. But, I had no issues until I lost them. All I have now is Aviators, but they are too light and do not stay on my face. I need to find something new.
  10. It is now just starting to cool down for me. I have no interes in playing in 100 degree weather. So for me, golf season is about to start.
  11. I am only able to follow the PGA Shot tracker. 186 yard Drive from Tiger on the 4th hole? That seems to be wrong. Edit: Yeah that is correct. A crap drive.
  12. For the most part around 190-200. I am not consistent enough to narrow it down more.
  13. This may be more comments than you thought, but I was in your boat last year. I lost the feel of my driver and was not worth using. Only until recent have I started hitting fairways somewhat regularly. Anyways, I ditched my driver for nearly a year and would tee off with my hybrid or 3W. It was only worth 200-235 yards, but I was getting FIRs and I enjoyed golf more. What got to me was not being able to reach longer Par 4s. Once I got the handle of my irons and around the greens, I started using the driver.
  14. A Major is only important because of its name. The course is set up difficult, but I do not think that matters in importance. I still think being the year's money winner or wining the FedEx Cup is harder accomplishment.
  15. Likes: Tiger Bubba Ian Poulter Dislikes: Rory McIlroy Adam Scott Justin Rose
  16. Thanks for the insight. I think you have the right idea. I used to scoop the ball with my wedges and get enough spin to stop the ball, maybe a couple of feet in reverse. Now, the ball will bounce and check up. So, the way the ball lands is also different.
  17. Six months ago I would hit my wedges about 50 yds (60), 75 (56), and 105 yards (52) consistently. Then, I changed the way I grip my clubs (on all clubs except driver and woods). I used tokep my thumbs straight and pointed down the shaft. Now I wrap my right thumb across my my other thumb pointed to the direction I am hitting. This is a more common grip from what I understand. Since doing that, I know hit my wedges a lot further. I am missing greens. I would say it is close to 20 additional yads. I was surprised one day when I hit a 56 wedge 100 yards. That is unheard of for me. I am all about more yards, but my irons are not much longer, maybe 5 yards. I am hitting the ball straighter, there is not fading or drawing. Anyways, is this usual? Is there a reason for this?
  18. 4 Hybrid - straight and long, but can create shots and play it short if I need to. 8 Iron - I hit it better than any other iron, and again, I can play it short putter - I am no good at using the 4h as a putter...and I tried a few times.
  19. Congrats! I was pretty happy when I first broke 100. But, keep at it and keep working on your game. I broke 90 only 4 months after that.
  20. So, if the best players at the time were not playing in the Majors, that would make it easier to win those events. If the top European players were battling Nicklaus for the Majors, do you think he would have won as many? I have not replied to this thread, just reading and taking it all in. There area ton of great points, but this one really makes a good point. I do not want to say Jack is not as great as he was, but his Major wins would not be as high if the best players in the world would have competed.
  21. Just to add, right now number 50 is Kevin Na. Take away is mental issues, he is a really good player that I think could have won a few times in the 60s.
  22. Just to give some idea where I am coming from with this question. With everyone always asking about who is better, Tiger or Jack, they always go straight to the Majors. OK fine, but when was it more difficult to win a major? Course conditions aside, who was your competition? Is this current era's top 50 players better or worse than the top 50 when Nicklaus played in his prime?
  23. I squat and cover my head. If there is a tree close, I hide behind it. Although I did have a ball hit a tree and bounce back landing about a yeard from me. There is no where safe when playin golf.
  24. Last year I got a year membership at a course near by. I played everyday after work. Most of the time I was by myself. I finished quick and was able to concentrate better. I made big gains during that time. I would love to be able to do this again. I felt it helped a lot.
