I love the look of those answers too. I would probably trade my i 20's for them, if I hadn't told myself that I was never buying another set of irons, lol -
i have the u,s, and l. The u wedge and sand wedge are pretty good. I have always played blade wedges. These wedges are great from tight and fluffy lies, not so good off hardpan.

I have a steelhead 7w with the stock Callaway graphit shaft (firm) I love it. I can hit high or low plus work it both ways. I never could find a hybrid that feels as good.

I have a lot of trouble with swaying. I believe it occurs on the backswing. How much of your weight are focusing on the lead foot. I am old (54) but willing to learn a few new tricks. I want to get back down to a 3 or 4 again. I still hit the ball a decent distance, but the sway kills me for a few holes every round. Are there any S&T; guys in Southeast Texas that you know of?

I hit my new clubs off mats first before grass. The shots off the mat came off lower. I do think the mats mask a slightly heavy strike too much. I try to practice from iffy lies anyway, because I don't play on a well manicured course. The drought in Texas last year was brutal.

Snap Hooks will be the death of me.

I suffer from periodic bouts of this as well. I squared my left foot up a little, and it helped. I also coach baseball and remembered a little saying"stand tall on the backside". When I remember keep my right shoulder "tall" and not dip down at the ball, I have a nice gentle draw. -
I am pulling for Na myself. I hope he has exorcised the demons.

Hitting off bad lies can improve your ball striking ability especially when the pressure is on. If you can strike a ball properly off a bad lie, when you have a decent one, the confidence level is very high. I agree with hitting the good balls with the driver and three wood. You really need to see the correct flight of the ball.
-
The game is a whole lot easier if you can hit it further. I recently bought a new driver (Ping i 20). I hit it about 15 yards longer than my old one. I am getting close to being good again.

My backswing is killing me on 5-8 shots per round resulting in extreme blocks. I am trying to to not let it go inside. I just don't have the time to practice it that much right now. I have to have my buddy (he is scratch) watch my swing, because for some reason I cannot feel it when its happening, but know immediately from the results.

The golf swing is a dynamic activity. Everything must work in harmony or it simply doesn't work. I do not understand all the different swing theories out there for sure. I have no idea what StackNTilt is, nor do I have the time to practice it. I have always thought that when the club is swung on the proper plane with the proper tempo that you have something going. I think most of the problems I have encountered with the golf swing come from trying to hit the ball rather than swinging the club. I love what Bobby Jones stated: "Golf is played on a course 5 1/2 inches long" (the space between your ears)

I have a project x shaft in my driver and a 707 in my 3 wood. I like the x in the driver. It is really easy to hit a boring shot that pierces the wind. The three wood is a bad *zz, I love my i 20 clubs.

I have one pet peeve when it comes to watching golf. The IDIOTS who yell go in the hole every time a pro hits a shot whether it is a driver or sand wedge. I have CSI syndrome (Can't stand Idiots)
-
I am working on not swaying. Almost all my misses are because I have swayed ever so slightly. It usually results in a low draw, which I think is a terrible shot ( when you aren't doing it on purpose)
-
I have been away for a few days. I hit the i 20's 10-15 yards further than either my Ping i 3 blades or my Titleist 990's. It took me a long time to retire those two sets.
-
I am with Joel on the swing correcter. The guy who always pulls his putt back just to miss it again is a buzzkill too.
-
Most of the time it is Bud Light, but since it is already in the 90's I have been enjoying Shiner Ruby Red. Good stuff, really refreshing. They have a tendency to go down too fast and often though

Ping i20 driver, any early feedback?
jmurder replied to lipout's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I bought the 9.5 with the project x shaft. I absolutely love it. I miss with the right to left shot and this club sits so square I have a hard time drawing it. It is definitely better than my old Taylor Made TP. I hit the Rocketballz and Nike Victory. Ping is way better. -
You can't go wrong with either set. You need to buy the clubs that you want to hit. They have to look right and feel right to you. I bought the i 20's and really love them. I stuck a 4 iron from 205 into a pretty good wind the other day to about 10 feet. I am 54 and it has been a while since I did that.
