  1. Here are the face on and down the line views of my swing with a 7 iron. I went to see a PGA teaching professional a few weeks ago and he spotted a few things, which I've been working on. Before seeing the pro, I would pick my arms up after making contact instead of following through (my backswing, he said, looked fine). Also, he let me know that my stance was too wide and that was limiting my body rotation. Face On Down The Line
  2. I use a Sun Mountain to go with my C-130 bag.
  3. I have the Sun Mountain C-130 bag and the Sun Mountain SpeedCart V1. They work great together.
  4. I have an HDTV and HD programming. All sports look a lot better in HD.
  5. I like blade putters more than mallets. They look better to me. Besides, I haven't seen a mallet putter that you can use to flip the ball into the air like you can with a blade.
  6. Considering there's ESPN and ESPN2, CSPAN and CSPAN2, MTV and MTV2, etc., it shouldn't be long before there's a Golf Channel 2 (GC2?). The ideal way would be golf on-demand, where you can choose a player or a hole and only watch that.
  7. I usually drink Coors Light. If I'm not drinking Coors Light, then it's Blue Moon, Guinness, or occasionally Sam Adams. Every once in a while, I'll try something new when I feel like it.
  8. Has anyone tried these before? They're supposed to help you find your lost ball. Target has a 4-in-1 set that has
  9. I'm thinking about getting a GPS and I'm having a hard time deciding. I'm leaning towards the Garmin GolfLogix because I've had other Garmin GPS products in the past and have been very satisfied. Although, I do like that the SkyCaddie allows you to position the location of the pin on the green instead of only choosing between front, middle, and back. I don't want to spend more than $300 unless I'm getting a lot more for my money. Everyone that responded to my Push/Pull Cart Suggestions thread really helped me decide. It really helps to get honest opinions from people that use the products, instead of comparing specs from the manufacturers.
  10. Add one more vote for the Sun Mountain C-130. I have a Sun Mountain C-130 bag and love it.
  11. AL - Yankees NL - Cubs (a long shot, I know) Yanks in 5. They'll underestimate the Cubs in Game 1 and then sweep.
  12. Thanks to everyone that posted replies and answered the poll. I did wind up getting the Sun Mountain Speed Cart V1.
  13. I wear a FootJoy glove. I also have a pair of their rain gloves and winter gloves.
  14. I listen to Golf Smarter mostly. I also listen to Golf Smarter Tips and Golf Better.
  15. I started playing pitch and putt when I was a teenager. After a few months, I started playing on a regular course. I took a long break from the game but now I'm playing again.
  16. What's in my bag is listed in my signature.
  17. Where do most of you get your cigars from? Retail tobacco stores or the Internet? If you get them from the Internet, can you recommend some reputable sites?
  18. I wear an 11.5 FootJoy GreenJoy. Since half sizes weren't listed, I chose 11.
  19. I wouldn't wear sandals but I'd consider wearing Crocs if they made a golf shoe version.
  20. My goals: Play at least 3x a month so I can establish a handicap Begin taking lessons, probably after I begin playing more regularly since it'll be easier to apply the teaching when I can actually play.
  21. When I first started playing about 15 years ago, I learned that the ball moved back in the stance depending on what club I was hitting. Lately, I've learned that the ball should stay in the same location (off the inside heel of the front foot) but the stance narrows making it appear that the ball is moving back in the stance.
  22. I'm giving up all fast food in order to try to eat healthier. I also resolve to play 18 holes 3-4 times a month.
  23. I checked the website for the NJ region and it's $199 for membership plus $125-$185 for tournament fees. It does appear though that the membership fee is through 2011. It also appears as though it started in 2007, which would make it $50 per year. Now that 2007 is just about over, I wonder if they'll either extend it to 2012 or prorate it to $150 for membership.
  24. I don't know how old you are or how long you've been smoking but it would probably be a good idea to start out very light with your workout so you don't get discouraged and quit before it really gets started. Instead of running at 6am, maybe start with a brisk walk or moderate jogging.
  25. I'll give it a go. It would be interesting to see how things turn out without Tiger as a choice.
