  1. Some of us enjoy playing the game and can improve by going out on the course. i already have one job and do not need the range to be a second one. i never learned how to punch out of trees effectively until i was under them several times. what may be good for you does not necessarily fit everyone else. my back can not take extensive time hitting balls or putting. Am i happy flirting with breaking 80? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!
  2. For me, the range is for nothing more than warming up. i have unlimited range time at my club, but not worth my time. I hit 8 iron, 5 wood, 3 hybrid and driver until i feel comfortable and then off to the putting green until it is time to tee off.

  4. Thats why the cart girls or the young ladies behind the bar are always willing to drive me home.
  5. I stopped selling on ebay because the new scam is saying stuff is damaged when they receive it and then bitching up a storm when i say i need the product returned before refunding. They demand a refund without sending back. There is a huge problem on ebay with sellers not being able to leave negative feedback on buyers. Buyers can blackmail sellers because their is no recourse.
  6. First impression, as a long time frogger towel user - i was amazed how well this towel cleaned club grooves when used as prescribed - it is nice to not dirty up my bag with a wet towel
  7. I do need to drink on the course, it keeps the young ladies around delivering and makes everyone else a bit more interesting.
  8. OT - I always liked Lansbrook, have only played Northdale once - we have the same crappy owners as I am a member at River Hills. As far as driver and woods - the 3 + 5 woods got tossed once I moved up a set of tees, but hitting the driver on the upswing has greatly helped me.
  9. I always support the cart girls at the course. Even the old bastards tip the girl $1 for giving them ice for their water. If you cant afford it, i guess you shouldnt be drinking there. My $30/month f+b minimum is usually covered in the first round i play. Besides buying from these girls is the best way for me to recruit them as employees.
  10. This year I moved my group up to a bit less than 6000 yards from 6500. All of us are 20+ HCs and are having a lot more fun. Plus it gave us 20+ new guys to play with.
  11. Work yourself to death so an anchor can sit home and drain it all
  12. Driver Titleist 913 D2, 58 degree vokey - with the exception of my 2 niblicks, the rest of my bag is Callaway - the hybrids and 9 wood feel like cheating, love the x2 hot irons and odyssey is one of very few to make an arm lock putter. I was fit for the driver and Titleist has been excellent about replacing drivers when the screw snaps. Previously owned AP1s and my game improved once I moved on. Also tried the 2014 Big Bertha for a short time earlier this year while my driver was being replaced and it did not work out well for me.
  13. Not bought by me, but a gift that friend just brought back from Wisconsin..
  14. No matter how the bad the economy is, people always have money for drugs and drug related products.
  15. brady, belicheat and the rest of the patsies are nothing more than a bunch of criminals. The actions of the court will push the NFL into oblivion like soccer, the wwe and any other sport that 98% of us do not care about.
  16. Have to agree, even if i bought it new and paid a bit more - but Titleist has been great about replacing when it should be out of warranty (i have real bad luck with those screws, have had my 910 and 913 replaced)
  17. I had the original AP1s for years and ball striking improved when I moved away from them. A friend of mine with a similiar handicap went out this weekend determined to buy some new pings and ended up with the Callaway XRs after testing several sets of clubs.
  18. Had our annual 666 tournament yesterday (6 holes scramble, 6 best ball, 6 modified alternate shot) Played real well until alternate shot (doubled our first hole and bogied the next.) Ended up in a 3 way tie for first with a net 65. Tie breakers went to handicap holes and on the the 4th handicapped hole i had a 4/2 to seal the deal for us. My first tournament playing with the other Loudmouth wearing joker at the club so we won best dressed too!
  19. very true, anyone with an android phone can tell who saved their number on their phone as facebook will constantly ask if you want to friend these peeps.
  20. The last meaningful release i remember from microsoft was internet explorer, back when netscape owned the browser market. Those freebies thrown in got a lot of people to switch. I cant remember the last time i used internet explorer as it is way too slow for me. My office computer is waiting for its win 10 download - i dont see that laptop making its way back to the living room no matter how good the release is, but i will play with it once we get it.
  21. DFL after day one
  22. Rained out 4 times in a row, with 2 more times possible.
  23. Let's hope there are no copy-cats....... http://nypost.com/2015/07/28/a-mystery-man-has-been-pooping-in-golf-holes-for-a-decade/ A mystery man has been pooping in golf holes for a decade By Kyle Schnitzer Hole-in-one? No. 2 in the hole is more like it. For the past decade, a Norwegian golf course has been dealing with a serial pooper –who decides to leave dirty toilet paper and feces at the bottom of holes. UPI reported Stavanger Golf Club, a scenic waterside course in Hafrsfjord, claims they have been finding poop in the course’s cups since 2005. And the worst part is they have no clue who’s been doing it. “He has a couple favorite holes,” groundskeeper Kenneth Tennfjord told the Rogaland Avis newspaper. “And we know it is a man because the poos are too massive to be from a woman.” Tennfjord said the mysterious pooper only lays his tracks on weekdays. The club has tried catching the culprit by installing high-powered lights, but to no avail. “He climbed up a tree next to the lights and wriggled far out on a branch and dismantled the spotlights,” Tennfjord said. “How he managed the feat without electrocuting himself or falling is a riddle.”
  24. Bardmoor in Largo - non resident $75/morning, $50 after 1 is the closest one I know much about. If you are willing to drive a bit, World Woods and Brooksville Country Club in Brooksville (both fairly cheap this time of year), Bloomingdale Golf Club in Valrico or Bobby Jones in Sarasota.
  25. Anything from the first 2-3 seasons, like anything else, once sponsors get seriously involved - all goes downhill. Personally, I think the show was better when it was based on Bart, instead of all the old men trying to imitate homer. The show needs to die, but the networks are too gun shy to let a new show really grow. Family guy is getting weak too. The best show currently on Sunday night is *Bob's Burgers*
