For men, max handicap is 36 so the answer would be 9. For women, the max is over 49, so for them it would be a 10. When I started, i just posted my real scores - it took awhile for me to get under a 36 course handicap and would not have gone below it anyway if I had used any form of ESC.

Upgrade your driver first, since you will definitely want another new one within 2 years. Spend more time researching irons as they tend to be the clubs that stay in the bag the longest. Woods are going to make your life miserable - dont waste too much time or money on them. No matter what you buy, the honeymoon period will be short.

yes, may make me look like a bandwagon guy, but at that time i knew i was moving down here in the fall.

Putting stroke, use the bounce, works for me

Tried it out on the Samsung yesterday. I lasted a hole and a half before I stopped. It was just too annoying with the bluetooth not reconnecting when I went up to putt. Also not buying this article - I think most of us buying *wearable tech* were never going to purchase a watch unless we got our *smartwatch* http://nypost.com/2015/05/30/apple-watch-sales-affecting-traditional-watch-market/

As an ex-Rangers fan, who became a Lightning fan in 04 when the Rangers acquired that pansy Jagr, it was a fun series for me.

Suggestions for a new GPS unit?
meenman replied to Shindig's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Skycaddie has some good products - just stay away from the latest Touch model. Without getting into all the shenanigans with its release and initial product, even with the updates, it is still slow when you switch screens. I was not smart when I gave my SG5 to a friend when I received my touch. I love the concept of the whole thing but the whole reason for buying it was to sync through bluetooth and that seems to only work when it wants to. -
Never practice it, but use that shot often when needing to go over a bunker or even out of one if the sand is hard enough.

Mind you that I play at a private club, but we tee off at 7.5 minute intervals. With tee times off the front and back from 7:30 to 9:22, there is very little waiting on your front 9 (be it front or back) and a minimal amount of waiting on the back (or at the turn if you finish your front in under 1:45.) I have played clubs with 10 minute intervals and never saw a group in front or in back of me all round. The local public course I played years ago also did the 7.5 minute tee time thing. With tee times starting at 7:15, you were fine if you teed off before 8:15. From there, it often got so bad that you would tee off an hour late. As a newbie, my first rounds were played in the afternoon because everyone suggested that I would slow the course down in the morning. After two 6 hour rounds of waiting teeing off after noon at that course, i decided that I would be much better off playing mornings.

Day one of our spring member / member was yesterday. Both me and my partner played well, but point totals will never show it. I had a career low 9 during our last match and still only managed to split the points. We went 3-7 and two 5-5s. Two more matches today where if we do not come out strong in the first, we are only playing spoilers for our final match. Of course the leaders have a 35 course HC on their team and all the low HCs are crying - i've known this guy for years and he is far from a sand bagger, but it is funny how it took a tourney like this for him to finally leave his driver in the bag instead of in his hands. I am playing today with an extreme hangover - so I expect little from myself. Then again, I kept my partner out way too late so I shouldnt expect much from him either,

Not saying apple will be the same, but I tested a golf gps app on my Samsung watch and don't think I got through 9 holes before it died

How do you have this top secret info? Do you personally inspect all footballs in the NFL or are you just another tommy boy fanboy that is crying because his hero is a fraud?

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
meenman replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Picked up 2 boxes of Bridgestone e6 balls tonight. Had to go with white since only the white ones came with a free sleeve of 330rx's. With my $10 coupon that is 30 balls for $50. -
This cant surprise anyone...... http://nypost.com/2015/05/13/brady-used-deflated-footballs-back-in-2004-opposing-qb/

Best website for training aids
meenman replied to nicko1995's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I would probably use more of the free info on this site before diving into too many training aids. A lot have their good points, but may have some bad points too. Of all the crap I have bought, the only one that still gets used is my impact bag which i picked up dirt cheap on ebay. -
Misrepresenting quotes like only a patsy fan can?

And until they prove they can win without cheating, i am right and just hope all of you set better examples for your kids than *role models* like belicheat and Tommy boy. I will say that my chowd friends from up north have been real quiet the last couple of days and only the truly uneducated are still sticking up for their hero. The majority of them are deeply disappointed in Tommy boy.

Peyton didn't do it, his other coaches did - he was suspended because the NFL said that * he should have had knowledge* - same offense as belicheat. Integrity of the game is just as important, the gamblers don't like fixed games unless they are in on it. Take away gambling and the NFL is about as relevant as soccer.....
-
Sean Peyton got a year off for stuff he probably had no knowledge of. Belicheat needs to get the same as a repeat offender. Brady is no better than the roiders in baseball like Ortiz and manram - all of their *rings* will forever have asterisks attached. Love the text exchanges between the equipment guys - unfortunately, they are going to be the scapegoats in this whole thing.
-
When was the last time you were drug tested? 2 super bowl victories and you say *bust?* Nevermind his career year last year with no defense. Stick to your day job........

If i actually remembered what they did, I would be hesitant, but chances are, i would have drank more than them, even though i would have paced myself enough to use the restrooms on the course instead of the nearest tree/shrub/whatever.

Come on Rick, it's not how you feel, it's how you look! I am just glad that I gained enough weight that they do not fit anymore. The pull-overs i use now in that weather are not the most stylish clothes I wear, but to my eyes, are much less offensive. I set the bar high with my clothing and my fans expect nothing but the best from me.

A hot front 9 last Friday dropped me to a 20.7. Pretty sure I can get that number back up a bit before next revision.

Had a pair of these years ago, wore them once - I just found them to be extremely ugly.
