No. I think ever since Tiger made his deal with Nike that he could play the equipment he thought was the best for his game many others started adding that clause to their contracts with club builders.
  2. Never used a caddie before. I use to walk all the time but now I must ride or I can't play.
  3. Thats great your going to work out. A few words of caution, don't lose track why your going to the gym. It's very easy to get hooked up with guys that can sway you into power lifting and bulking up, thats not good for golfing. You want strength and stamina to help you game. I think I read somewhere tiger can bench over 300 pounds but does not do it all the time because it would not help his game. strength and bulk is not the same.
  4. If your going in July the price should be less and you can still get other golf in.
  5. I have not played the Wilsons and never heard of the Zip. You may have had over 100 views but many are not members so they can't reply. I've notice some days theirs 4 members and 60 vistors.
  6. Go to golf course web search and look for 18 hole courses in vegas. don't check the option 18+ holes as you will not find many, check 18 holes. All the people that live in vegas don't pay top dollar to play and you can find some real gems in the lower $$ range some will even allow you to walk.
  7. I enjoy golfing with my wife, I still play with the guys and she plays with the girls. Only rule for this to work is don't try giving her lessons, unless she asks how to hit a shot. Send her to a good teacher and you'll be happy with your partner.
  8. No. I've not seen any advantage to a person using one. Next they would want you to only be able to putt with a heel shafted blade putter. I would vote for removing a group of golfers that are on the course more than 41/2 hours. including the pros.
  9. Just use a nine iron, play it back in your stance and hit a smooth 3/4 shot. Don't try to hit it hard with back spin or you only go deeper in the mush.
  10. If you are hitting to this spot often and can't hit the shot, you need to lay up farther from the green so your on solid ground with a full wedge and take the soft ground out of play. That is why you see the pros always laying up to a full shot. As this leads to many other questions this maybe the best answer if your always 20-25 yards to the green on this hole.
  11. Those numbers really don't mean it's a hard course. Keep the ball in the fairway and don't try to kill the ball you should be fine.
  12. they use pinseakers and skycaddies on practice days to get yardages.
  13. Having a pro on your team won't make you play 20 under par, he only gets one or two putts per green and if all is partners miss it's not his fault. They usually putt last so you don't get an advantage of watching his line, if they made a one putt on every green they would be at the top of every leader board each week.
  14. Since everyone is dreaming, I wish for free golf all year at any course I go to.
  15. I use a white colored ball.
  16. both are hard and both are just luck. I've had two aces and a couple of albatrosses and I'd say they were both lucky shots. If any real skill was involved the pros would have a couple every weekend.
  17. Were all here to help each other, the only bad question is the one never asked.
  18. I also have short fingers and buy my gloves in cadet size., Have you tried the cadet size gloves? The only difference in a cadet model glove is the fingers are shorter.
  19. Maybe I should'nt post this but, from spring thru fall I will play at lest 18 holes five days a week, Mon-Fri and some times on the weekends. I'm retired and work at a golf course so my golf is free there. I also belong at two other courses and play them also. somedays I play 18 at one course and meet other friends to play 18 on another course the same day. During the summer I play so much I don't have time to practice and pars of the game seem to get away from me. During the winter I'll hit balls a couple of times a week then go Bowling. I was never this busy when I was working full time.
  20. I think it's not about age it's about your game. You should play the distance that give your game a challenge not by your age. Many course are starting to call the tee's forward or back tees not women, men or champion.
  21. If your wearing holes in the glove at that spot you need to grip down on the grip about 1/2" to 1 ". Your palm should not be hanging over the end of the club, It will not help to hit the ball farther if you grip over the end. A proper grip will also give you better control of the club during the swing.
  22. I tried a 64* and found it pretty useless for my game, went back to a 60* until I found a 58* that seems to fit my bag perfectly. If I can't hit it well there's no reason to carry it.
  23. Tiger will tell you he does't play great four days in a row week after week, if he did he would have won the 230 events.
  24. I'll go with the Taylor made staff.
  25. I think you guys are miss reading Phil on thur&fri; play. Every tournament he expects to win. Your in trouble if you show up on thursday and have to start grinding from the first hole. Playing your game and staying with the leaders is the name of the game the first two days then Saturday is call moving day to get as close or be leading and trying to close it Sunday. You just can't play great four days in a row week after week all year long, this is what all the new young guns are learning now.
