a tie between my drive that i crushed off the first tee that hit a house 270 yards down the right side of the first fairway (seriously, i got all of the ball and just hit it dead left) and the bunker shot i holed on the 6th hole. buried/fried egg up against the lip. i swung hard and the ball popped straight up in the air, landed a foot from the pin, and trickled in nicely

i shot a terrible 97. my drives were so bad all day (hit a house off the first tee) irons were average to mediocre i chipped and putted well though, and that saved me. i holed a bunker shot that was buried and pretty close to the lip. i think this is the point in the season when my game starts to go downhill. it always happens, so i'm not worried. although i won't be able to play 3 times a week with school starting tomorrow......

they are great to practice short game. my school's course has one, the longest hole is 160 yards. i'm in the high 20's there, my best round being a -2 25

i couldn't care less about how a person talks. its about what they are saying. obama lost his whole "change" thing with his VP choice. in fact, once the people stopped cheering every time he said "change" to let him explain, what he was saying was no change from any old democrat. but its all campaign promises. i doubt whoever wins does what they said they will

trashies are fun to watch. i don't have one, but my friend got one it may not have been a great shot but its something that rarely happens

i will use my 56 most of the time. i can juice my 60 that far, but god knows where it will end up

this thread has kept me entertained for a few minutes. i can do it. i do it when i'm waiting for the crazy slow people infront of me. it kills time. it doesn't look dumb too me. i learned it because it looked cool i'm weird because i cant do it with my wedges.......

phil kessel (the hockey player) is a member his house is down the left side of the fairway on #6. he's almost never in town. busy hockey-ing it up, i guess

we have a hole in one club. you pay ten dollars to join. if somebody gets a hole in one (with at least two witnesses) they get all of the money, plus the pro shop matches it in shop credit. if you win it is an unwritten rule to buy drinks for everybody in the clubhouse phil kessel (the hockey player) won and didn't buy drinks. he was actually going around and demanding his money. and he's a millionaire. bastard

a lot of times i'll see the ball in the air and lose it when i comes down. i'll think it landed over the green when its 15 yards short. sometimes when i'm watching other peoples shots i lose it in the air. i look at the ground/horizon where they were aimed and try to catch it coming down

i drove the ball pretty poorly today. so much for figuring that out on the range yesterday. hit my irons well enough to shoot a 90. hit a LOT of three woods off the deck today

i wish that my team played at this time of year. but its girls season. i didn't know that my home course was home of the Madison Memorial girls team, but i know now. last week i played and was the last group off before a match (i played with three painfully slow women) i finished my 9, hit some chips, called my sister to pick me up, talked to the staff, putted for 10 minutes. when my sister got there (30 minutes after i was done) the first group was finishing up their nine.

today my friend topped a drive that bounced off the cartpath and landed in a garbage can 40 yards away. i've played my tee shot on a par three into a bunker and had a very startled deer come bolting out. it stuck around to watch my sand shot. and i saw a guy bury his club in the ground after flubbing a shot five feet forward only to get attacked by a momma crow residing in the nest above the tree he was under.

i shot a 41 at my schools course. my driving was very poor, all over the place. i was at the range for 3 hours after my round. i spent an hour in the sand, figured out my driving, and learned how to hit a low shot from behind a tree. day well spent

not everybody can hit driver-wedge on a par four from 6000-6500 yards.

i didn't play in mine (underage and my handicap is too high) but i went out and watched. the greens were rolling at 13.5! The guy who won is a professor at UW (Jim Doing) who also made the cut at the Wisconsin Open.

hit an errant 4-iron into a lateral hazard on 15. it stayed out of the water but was in the tall grass, 105 yards out. i had to cut the corner of the water to get to the pin. i decided to go for it and hit a gap wedge that just cleared the water and trickled to 15 feet. lipped out, but i usually am in the water on that hole. i was pleased
