  1. Aren't all industries trying to get us to buy junk that we don't need? Heck, the golf mfgs are working day and night to get us to buy drivers that we don't need. Families make choices every day on what to put on the table each day, And the evil food industry doesn't deserve all the blame. They like everyone else just want to make money.. people continue to make the wrong choices, I just hope they aren't drinking Pepsi because they saw Cindy Crawford do it. :)
  2. Yeah, it's mainly a Lebanese store and according to my brother famous for their falafel :) Pizza is such good default choice I can't blame them!
  3. Speaking of falafel, I had just come home a few years ago so my wife could give birth, anyway. We are in the hospital and my brother tells me that there is a great falafel place down the street (we were at tufts med down town Boston) so I say great. We go and get some and then come back to the hospital room with all my family there. We start eating them and my brother is mentioning how great they taste and my father just blurts out that they aren't that great and they argue for a while and I just keep quiet. Anyway, after my wife and I are alone I mention to her that my dad is right, they weren't that good. It's probably because I'm comparing them to the falafel I probably had a week before in KSA at a Lebanese place and we just laugh. It absolutely matters where you get them from and how they are made.. Big, small, stuffed ect. I rarely have falafel sandwiches anymore, mostly on the side as an item part of a large group of other foods like eggs, hummus, tabuli, zhatar and other things that we eat with Syrian bread. Anyway, don't give up :) LOL but don't try that place in Boston next to tufts medical for falafel, but they do have awesome steak and cheese and pizza.
  4. I'm not sure how much the endorsement deal is, but he just signed a 32M contract with a 10M signing bonus. So, he's living pretty large without that unknown credit union :)
  5. I'm pretty sure you can control it from settings.. I literally get no emails from TST. I'm pretty sure you can control it from settings.. I literally get no emails from TST.
  6. No :) , although definitely going to get a smart tv what ever that is.. That's too funny.. I'm only going to get 1 keyless lock, the other 4 doors will be regular ol stupid ones. very interested in the wifi thermo for bbq will look that up thanks!
  7. LOL That's above my pay grade :) I agree.. The security company system I'm thinking of going with is not going to be connected to my wireless network, it will also not need a land line.. Now obviously I have to research more, but I wonder if someone could technically intercept that signal and shut the device down? But then again I would expect the SC to know that their device was shut down and get the police over to check on the house. Aside from that obviously the keyless entry is a security risk if they can log on to it without even going through the wireless system, I'm going to assume that I can secure my wireless system with a passcode encrypted so that it would be nearly impossible to hack. I also wouldn't want someone hacking into a nest or Honeywell lyric and turning my temp up or down either, but I can set notifications to track temps I'm thinking and plus the security system will notify me of temps drop below a certain degree independently of the thermo system.. obviously being smart is important to me because I'm not going to be around most of the year, but need a way to always have a watchful eye on the house. Can I ask why you don't like it, or you like it and she just likes it a lot more?
  8. The title says it all. How smart is your home? I am in the process of buying a house (hopefully everything will be clear in the next couple days), but in the mean time I've been thinking of making my first home a smart one. I would love to have everything connected and preferebly controlled from one app. • security system • keyless entry • heating system • cooling system Those are the ones I'm initially thinking about. Then I can move on to the home theater, lights and things that I probably haven't thought about. Any of you make your home smart? Did it cost you a pretty penny and if it did do you think it's worth it? What did you include/exclude and why? Let us have it!
  9. The list of possibilities are endless.. Heck, shooting him in the leg is no different than taking a bat to his knee IMO.
  10. So, if the only thing I had in my car was my compound bow is it ok to put an arrow in his calf? You know, just to restrain him. Arrow style baby.. Please don't tell me there is a difference between a bat to the knee and an arrow to the calf. Wouldnt want the court sending a message that criminals can get away with taking my $100 wedge. :)
  11. Agree, if a bat to the knees is not vigilante justice I don't know what is. my big issue is the there is no adjustment to the place and time this is all taking place.. It's not even a robbery in progress.. What if you got the wrong guy and he already got the bat to the knee treatment?? the court system has convicted innocent people before, there's no way your going to bat 100% in identifying the thief.
  12. Was this with the trade in?
  13. Are you comparing what's considered a home invasion with "oh, he stole my clubs a few days ago" I'm going to take my frustration out by brandishing my wepon because I can, and then ill kick him in the head while I'm at it? Just not even close.
  14. Oh man. I mean oh shit.
  15. I'm glad I didn't read this thread till after I watched it. This guy is obviously not a smart guy (forget the kid he's an idiot), so no one can tell me that he was able to mastermind this whole thing without leaving a lot more clues. Blood is just not an easy thing to hide or clean when you are as dumb as this guy. Why was the key not discovered until after the 5th or 6th search or what ever it was? Why are there no blood stains in the room where she was raped and murdered? We can all agree that a slit throat will generate a lot of splatter. I don't want to rehash all the arguments, but I don't think he did it.. The guy is sitting on a 36m lawsuit and just got out of jail.. I'm sorry, I'm not buying the motive.
  16. We are talking about two different situations my friend. I have been speaking about a situation as the one in the video.
  17. In most cases there would be, plus your making the assumption the guy is guilty. If he wasn't, then what? Can the cops even arrest him? Don't they become liable for a lawsuit as well? Anyway, I hope that none of us find our selves in this situation.
  18. I didn't know that theft is not investigated. I'm not sure what they do in KSA but I'm going to assume that if someone stole from me and I told them the license plate they would look into it.
  19. No, as I said I would take the license plate and let it play out instead of putting my self Ina position I could get shot by the thief or by the cops or some other bystander who also had a gun.. here is another scenario.. I pull the gun and some other law inforcement officer is in the area he sees me flashing a wepon so he comes over gun drawn and now we have a big mess on our hands.
  20. Plus, this is just assuming the guy actually stole the clubs right? here is the scenario.. stop you stole my clubs, stop or I'll shoot.. **** you, I didn't steal your clubs I'm out. Stop or I'll shoot.. Bang bang.. afterwords, turns out that yeah the club was his, but the guy had just purchased it on Craigslist and was taking it in to the store for what ever reason. cool, you just killed someone who didn't even steal your stuff because you wanted to play detective and abuse the privilege of owning a guy vigilante man. :)
  21. With all those witnesses? The guy is also walking away from you, so shooting him in the back isn't going to help your case much. Plus, what's that thing he was making a move for? Eventually he would crack under interrogation trust me.
  22. Yeah, so the warning shot doesn't do it what do you do next? Well, where does he go? I'm assuming he would eventually get into a car of some sort right? You take his license and you go to the cops and you explain what happened. Instead he will be facing a lawsuit from the kid.
  23. And if he just walks away from you? What do you do then? From what I understand never pull a gun unless your going to use it, and as others have said this guy might have been crazy enough to do so. You don't seem like that type, so you still think you would pull the gun and try and hold him at gun point?
  24. I wonder how it turned out when the cops got there? Wouldn't they get him to get on the ground and put the gun down ect? Or where they high fiving him for his effort? I'm surprised no one video taped that.
