  1. It's a strange thing. How do you say it? Sport fraternize? I like to play with people I know. It makes you ease up, they know your game. On the other hand, it doesn't bother me a nickel to play with complete strangers. I do like to get off the first tee with a hammer, but after that, fine with me. You have the change to interact with interesting people. People whom you might otherwise never meet. I think I can count on one hand that I played with someone who I'll never want to play with. Mostly they were cheaters in the most worse kind of way. I do not care if you want to steal a shot or alter you lie and than pretend that you are playing the round of your life. Who are you kidding. But don't insulte my intelligence on that matter. Might sound arrogant, but I hate it when that happens. Golf is fun to me. Once I played with a famous soccer coach. That was fun. When we started walking on hole 1, he starts spitting. It was like a river run wild. He spit for 18 holes and sounded like a lama. I didn't have the heart to tell him to swallow. If someone swears the whole time, I would say something about it eventually.
  2. Sorry, just a remark in general. i am just scrolling through the program, seeing what GG does. Picture this. standing on the tee, thinking you hit a great shot and you think 'wow, must have been far', uploading and than, bam. 145 meters. hahaha. Reality check. I think it's not representative to share it yet, but will do so if my rounds increase with spring coming. I must admit I was sceptical. But I am starting to see that more insight in stats, GIR etc will help you with your game.
  3. Wow, what a reality check!!! Staggering. Bear in mind, weather conditions weren't good, wind, snow and rain. And it was a round where I used 4 clubs (which I am planning to do more. You see the course from a different perspective). But here's an axample of the distance with my hy-3 (in meters). The hy3: 140m, 142m, 165m, 163m, 126m (snaphook), 173m. I thought at that moment, the hots had more distance. All carry distance, the course was wet as mud. Fairway hits were 83%. Lets keep that % up, hahaha
  4. I played 9 holes in dreadfull conditions. My first experience with GG. Of course I forgot to switch the monitor on in time. I had it clipped on my beltbuckle. With a raintrouser on, not that handy. But I have to say the tagging comes pretty quickly into the pre shot routine. Didn't bother me that much. I thought it might be easier to put the tag in my pocket, but you might loose it. The round itself was not worth metioning, played steady, but I didn't tag all the clubs (wintergreens etc.). I just wanted to get familiar with it. I will upload it tonight to see what it does. Because I do no quite understand the corrections you can made after the round.
  5. It's a game of golf. It is not for me to judge if someone is afraid of a little dog. Point (to me) is: if you really feel afraid, oncomfortable, scared: take a relief!! I don't mind!!Snake's, gators, bees, wasps, spiders whatever creepy animals: that goes without saying.
  6. I experienced a bad case if the yips.I also bought a belly putter (which also nobody wanted, cheap but great quality). I experienced a bit with the belly (I got one to lean on, mwahahaha), but I didn't like it. I switched to a claw grip before, which took my right hand away. I seem to have some sort of twitch in my right hand which immediately rises when I put the 'normal way'/conventional grip. Now I grip my putter in a Kuchar way combined with a claw grip. It helped me a lot. 3-4 feet put are now gimme's. Before, it was like table tennis with myself.
  7. Connect with gg. Made a profile. We will see. Like it
  8. I know some people whom have one tag for chipping around the green so they do not have to alter the read out when they upload the round to the pc. The reason for that, is they want to be as accurate as possible. To know where or what they do with a full swing with a i7. If they chip or even pitch with an i7, it will give a wrong view of the Avarage yardage of the i7. i just want to put a tag on all the clubs and make it just as easy for me as possible. Suppose I tag 3 times a i7 in a round for a full swing, second shot. Then, on hole 9 (f.i.), I chip for my 3rd shot (for birdie of course, mwahahaha). My Avarage distance drops, just because of the chip. I have to make a correction, right? I need to make a notice that I played a chip on hole 9 right? I still do not get that. Me stupid.
  9. Add your username to your profile so the badge appears! I have to do it yet. Such a lazy a@#$ h@#$ I need some info what to do when I chip with an i7. I have to make an separate tag. I will get there.
  10. I have a new driver, Callaway. I found the right settings. More consistancy of the tee, more fw hits.
  11. I never thought that I would share my thoughts on a open forum. However, I experience, that it is a great and surprising way to (eventually) meet people, get to know more and even makes you think or change your opinion in items you firmly believe in. I have joined a forum in Holland and got to know a few very interesting people. And when we play, it is always nice and a joy. And you learn. That is a bit difficult with an USA forum. But I get a great picture of some of you whom reguarly post here. and somehow, I get the feeling that I am lucky enough to plan a trip to the USA and I anounce it and some of you are in the neighbourhood, they are more than willing to hit the course with me of give me a lesson etc. I might be wrong, but I don't think so.
  12. Thanks, I just try to prevent my feeling. I would like to make a point. I feel you need to evolve in life in general, in this case in golf. When you evolve, sometimes you have to get back on certain points of view you took in the past. If you know what I mean. A few years ago I wrote an article about an topic in a sciencefiction magazine. I took a standpunt on a matter. Time past, and I did extra study, research, overthinking. It is possible I have to adjust my standpoint. And That's oké. New insight. Etc. Sometimes I feel M&A are critisized a lot and harsh. And maybe u justred. They ratlled the cage. I do not understand why they are not theated with a more open mind. Not sure where it comes from. What I see on TV (can not receive in Holland Golfchannel) I never hear something about S&T, or 5SK. Even aimpoint does not get a lot of intention. I find that strange. But from what I see, competition in the golf industrie is very, very hard. Maybe for insiders, it is better to judge. Or people are preaching for their own churches. I do not know. So I do not know why S&T does not implement new findings or new information etc. I would like to say that you should embrase new info, even if it means you have to come back from certain points of view. It only shows that you learn and evolve. And isn't that a great thing to embrase? Damn auto correct. It is present, in stead of prevent, and it was an article in a science magazine (tax law). Sorry.
  13. I feel I can relate. I used to put a bit more weight on the left side. No I feel I am putting more weight in the middle or at the inside of my right foot. I sometimes (when I practise on the range), lift the toes in my right shoe to prevent me from swaying. Take it in and up and than fire from the right foot to the left. I would like to say I do not swing completely different as well as that there is a difference. First I would fight the feeling, but apparently it is something my brain/body doesn't accept. Instead of fighting, I embrace it and I feel I became more steady with the driver. Hope it helps.
  14. I want to play 'better' golf, enjoy myself on the course and as a result, my hcp has to drop to around 10. I hope to get more rounds under my belt. I'll use the winter to get better or more consistend with mainly the driver and chipping. I have a chipping area nearby, 20 minute drive with artificial turf which is always open. I practice, given my time, every week, once a week. Secondly, I'll get my driver fitted to my specs. It's close, but I get a flight scope measurement. Club head is fine, shaft might need some tuning. I purchased game golf, to see (and hopefully find out) at what point I loose strokes. At last, at the end, I want to enjoy it more than I already did.
  15. I'll try to be as open as possible about this post. You do not have to agree with me, which is fine, it's just how I look at certain aspects. I guess Mike and Andy do not know j@#$ sh$%^t about a golf swing. I would feel comfortable to argue that's not the case. I think they do. I had a different encounter then some of you. When they came to Holland and I was lucky enough to spend a day with them, it was probably the happiest golfing day of my life. But hey, I love spaghetti with truffel, and someone else might hate it. I was speachless at times, they explained a lot which made a lot of sense. But I guess everybody has some sort of agenda in life. I used to be a vivid advocate in defense of S&T. What turnes (or turned) me a bit of, is the fierce defence of the system. Which as a base, to me, is a far better way to start with golf than a lot of teaching stuff I see on the range in Holland. S&T has structure, a sound base. I get that 5SK differs at some points, but it has some or several aspects (dare I say it) with S&T. It might be cursing in the church, but that's the way I see it. Hopefully the day will come that some of the 5SK will visit Holland, or I could find the time to go to the USA. You might not agree with S&T, but from a S&T point of view, it's ok to disagree. That's always the result when you enter a discussion. So, the fiercefull defending is a bit to much for me. But, I hope to have wide, open mind about golf in general, a swing system particular. S&T really helped my game, and I am pretty sure I do not apply it overall correctly. People with knowledge tell me that my short iron game pretty much cover the S&T system. But with the big dog, or the 3w, I am not as consistent as with my short irons. I think it all boiles down to practise, practise and practise. I do not take that much lessons (which might be stupid), but given the time I have to play golf, I play, play and play. To round it up. There are probably a lot of people out there, that have encountered a bad experience with S&T. And vice versa. That same argument could be said about 5sk or any other system and/or method out there.
  16. I've bought it. I have to install it. I'll do so when the weather will get better in order to hit the courses
  17. It is some kind of obsesion to me to repair pitch marks. Sometimes so bad, I tend to loose concentration, searching for pm in stead of focussing on the put. I really, really hate it when I see unrepaired pm. More so, when I know there is a flight just for me who didn't do a thing. It is respectless. Respectless for the green keepers, respectless to other players. Once a golf pro was in a flight before me, giving a course lesson to new students. I noticed he didn't repair any nore told his students to do so. I addressed him afterwards. I think it is very bad. I normally use some sort of switchblade type repair divot tool.
  18. Rock solid repeatable swing: Fader all day!
  19. i have a 19 degree Epon iron AF in the bag. I can hit it great off the tee, better than a hybrid. I cam hit is also pretty good from the fw, or the rough. Hyrbid does not work for me.
  20. Ugh, difficult stuff. How could we (ever) figure that out without TM? OK, to conclude, let's start by playing it more forward than I already (thought) I did, tee it fractionally higher, bump my hips (think my right shoulder will automathicly lower) and ripp that ball of the tee
  21. So if I tee it up and more forward, using my Ping G10 12,5 degree, Am I correct that I changed my angle of attack and that I hit the ball lower on the clubface. I play the ball more forward, and noticed more solid contact, thus driving straighter. But apparently, I do not play it forward enough. Let's work on this!!
  22. Launch Angle is the angle the ball takes off at relative to the ground Attack Angle is the direction the club head is moving (up or down) at impact. To maximize distance with your driver, hitting up on the ball (positive attack angle) is a must. The driver’s loft should be chosen so that it complements the golfer’s attack angle. Having a positive attack angle does not guarantee maximum distance. The fit of the club is also an essential piece of the puzzle. Spin Rate is the amount of spin on the golf ball immediately after impact Spin rate has a major influence on the height and distance of a shot. Spin rate is one of the least appreciated numbers, especially in windy conditions. A high spin rate is the enemy, particularly when hitting in to the wind. One way to reduce spin is to hit a lower lofted club. I got this from the TM site. Quote: ' More loft generally increases spin rate'. So if I tee it more forward, hitting up on the ball, should I get a less lofted driver? Lower loft, less spin rate, positive angle of attack equals bombs of 300 yards?
  23. To quote Bruce Willis: Yippiayee (and something followed). I try to bump my hips ad address. Gonna tee it a bit higher and more forward. Thanks McMac, happy camper here Goona watch some clips of mr Trackman to let me explain launch angle, because I still do not get that stupid me
  24. @mvmac. I do not understand the correlation between launch angle and spin rate of the ball. I am sorry for that. I need to get a higher launch angle and lower spin rate. To accomplish that, I need to tee the ball higher or play it more forward in the stance. When I tees the ball, roughly 1/3e of the bal site above the head if my driver.
