Not sure what's different, and FWIW am not working on anything specific. Just flow. Finally a break. Found something last weekend. This is the best I have swung in a few months. Hit 9 fairways last Sundays and 11 yesterday. JIT for peak season..😊

Just a suggestion.. do a left hand-only 'trial'. You can do in your living room. Ensure arm structure stays intact throughout the swing and the wrist does not break down until well after impact. It will possibly help you identify if it's a right side (trail) over/early-dominance, weight-shift timing, pivot stall, hand path issue, some combo of these, etc.

LOL... so.. thumbs up? (praise..praise..) OR thumbs down? (shade..shade..) 😂

To wax a little poetry if I may; it's not how we fall but how we rise after a fall. He always struck to me as a very resilient fella. Surviving the odds including the preening eyes of an army of those who 'expertly' write others off maybe an even higher quality in my book. Hence I refrain from using 'never' as an opinion. I would have said the same thing about him had he not won this year.

I doubt if any of the announcers would dare to touch that with a ten-feet pole. They might as well electrocute themselves if they were to take even a slightest tone of amusement to this very colorful detour..😋

And let's not kid ourselves. What he did on 15th, 16th and 17th approaches belies any mental demons he had. And of course he immediately exorcised any that descended upon him on 18th immediately after.

Good overall post Matt. Parity has continued to grow. There have been periods of sublime golf last ten years from others like Speith, DJ, Koepka and Scheffler who have been/are wunderkinds of there own. Rory has had the longest sustained hang time at the top with and sometimes above these stalwarts. While accumulating no. of majors is a black and white measuring yardstick of glory, explaining away the logic (i.e., here are five reasons of why not...) of not winning one is not as black and white.

That pre-swing routine tho.. 🤓

I think Rose is great. Much respect to his consistency, professionalism, work off-course and a never give-up attitude. But I have mixed feelings about his Masters campaign. Afterall, the dude came within a putt of ruining the perfect ending to probably the greatest unfinished story in golf. 😱

Ben Crenshaw on GC this morning had a really nice reflection on yesterday's round. Taking a moment here to marvel at some of the greatest approach shots in a single round considering the context. Of all the spectacular shots, the two recovery shots through tree openings, 2nd shots on 15th and 17th, wedge approach in the playoff and the pured 4 iron on 4th green were of highest quality. Imma watch those a few times again in the coming weeks.

I'll tell you in a minute. How was the concert? 😝

Wow.. a promise delivered. Finally. Feels better than anything I've felt in golf. Seriously.

I will take a 3-putt on 13 for now...

Only thing that would make Rory closing out even more satisfying would be if Fatrick did something spectacularly implosive, like triple 18 or something.. heh heh. Have to say, Rose is playing his ass off.

Long, well documented public story, but no. No physical assault that anyone knows of. Tell your cousin they are full of shit..

Bro.. you trollin?😂

Phil M was (is?) was a total cowboy in his day but served him well at the Masters it seems.

Rory at the crime scene again from yesterday (#15).. Let's see what he does after this piped drive. If he mangles this b**** again, Imma go out and jump in a puddle.

I hear the points from OP (@TommyRude, decent first post BTW), but these 'never' takes are almost always illogical. Masters is the one of those places where an 'older' player has the best chance. Having said that the second shot on 15th IMHO was a bit of gamble which I think in some way could be labeled as lack of discipline. It seemed even short irons/wedges were bouncing off this green. A 4-iron seemed like a very low percentage shot from 230 out. Bit surprised Harry D agreed with the choice. Yeah, well we have a player who has been playing like a god for last couple of years without a complex (seemingly) and people would rather watch cardboard decompose. So, yeah, Rory serves what we ask and hope you are wrong.

Trying to feel bit more external rotation of the trail elbow at A4. I think better than what have ever been able to position it. Forward lunge at impact still a work in progress.
-
Can't tell 100% from your videos but if your right hand is too far underneath the grip the tendency for most folks is to roll it close through impact little too early. Try putting your right (trail) hand more on the side of the grip instead of underneath at address for a simple enough adjustment. This might help. In general match-ups matter greatly and you might have to make corresponding changes. I wouldn't even begin to suggest whatever those might be. Best to get a good pro to help. Self-diagnosis/experimentation can work for some but for most it's a rabbit hole.
