That is a bit of an issue with the Belgian team. They do lack the depth as other nations. But there bench can do a job. I am really hoping that they will do well this year. Love seeing a young team doing well.

I agree with you, the five players was a bad example but I do see a regular 5 ball being played at my club. Theres many different ways of doing the sponsored golf. I was just indicating a possible problem with the players spending money for each "par/bogey/birdie". If green fees are not waived it could be an expensive day for them. I was suggesting the idea of being sponsored per hole as, in my opinion, it looks like the best way to raise money. (Dependant on fitness levels and williningness to play a full days golf) Each to their own I suppose. Both are viable.

Aww. I really hope I don't agree with you guys.

Im working my way through season 5 atm. Seen seasons 1-4 years ago and just started watching it again. Can't believe I have waited so long to watch the rest of it.

I cant get enough of House atm. Such a good TV show and Greg House character is fantastic. Old and Gold. :)

The first time I ever played a 18hole course I almost made a hole in one. Was a cheeky little 125 yard par 3 downhill. Hit a lucky PW and it just went straight for the pin and lipped out and landed a few inches away. I was gutted but couldnt believe I hit a straight shot. One day I may get that elusive hole in one. :)

I think that would be far too expensive. Imagine you get 5 players doing that. If everyone shoots par on every hole at 1$ that would be each player spending 4 x 18$ each. its going to be an expensive day. I genuinely think you should get a sponsor form and get people to sponsor you per hole. Even if it was just a few cents or a dollar. You would not need many people to sponsor you before you make a substantial sum... If you could get ten people to take part and each of them gets sponsors for their holes also. Let whoever sponsors you chose how much they would like to sponsor per hole. Let them know that you will be playing from dawn till dusk and how many holes you ESTIMATE you will play. That will give them an idea of what they could afford to sponsor you with. Ive been thinking about doing a similar thing and talking about it has made me want to look into it properly. Good luck mate.

1. Obtain an official handicap. 2. Learn to hit a driver straight off the tee 3. Manage to use fairway woods consistently. Long Term goal by the end of the year 4. Drop my handicap from 28 to 18

Its a nightmare. Can't complain to much. Was only the second time I played the course and the wind was terrible. Thoroughly enjoying being back in the game. :)

I am no longer able to play football(soccer) but I will watch every game I can. I guess I would be the same with golf. Albeit I would watch alot less golf thatn I do football..

As previously mentioned you could get people to sponsor you per hole. If you can get people to pledge $1 a hole or 50c a hole or whatever and you just play as many holes as you are able to. You would not need many sponsors to end up with a nice sum at the end of the day for your chosen charity.

I was the exact same. The third paragraph threw it for me. I assume the question is of that in the 2nd paragraph.

I had exactly the type of "Blow up hole" today. I had played an amazing streth of 5 Bogeys in a row (being a 28 Handicapper I was very pleased) only to take my stance on the 18th Tee. A nice short par 3 playing over a ravine of sorts. I hit two teeshots thick into the ravine. So essentially I was starting that hole 5 shots down. Managed to pop it on the green and two put. Ended up with an 8. Totally ruined my scorecard today. :(

Played some of my best golf today. Scored 36 points stableford. Went round in 100 for a net score of 72(par 71) Would had an amazing shot if I didnt have to take 5 penalty points from the easiest par 3 on the course. Managed to hit two tee shots thick into the ravine. Absolutely gutted. Shot my third tee in three which would have gave me an over all round out 95. Cant believe I bombed so much on the 18th. :( Ahh well we live and learn.

Shot 108 today. The first time I have played the course with 20MPH+ winds. So cant complain to much. To many hero shots attempted. Really need to get some good course management ingrained into my playing style. I am not the best with a wood off the deck but I seem to always go for it. I suppose its good practice.

@nevets88 not scared to chuck some spoilers out there? Haha. Yeah I loved it. Really is getting interesting.

Arrow has been immense this season. Also thoroughly enjoying GoT season 4. I hate having to wait for an episode though. Much prefer waiting till a season is finished and smashing them out.

How can I learn the driver swing? Help a beginner

I struggle with the same issue. I believe there is some sort of psychological element with me. I am consciously nervous with a driver as 10/18 I end up either smashing it miles OB or scuff it 10 yds in front of me. I also know I look up too early as I want to see if I have managed to hit it for the aforementioned issues. It's a nightmare. -
That video has made me look forward to the next time I hit the sand. Is that weird? Haha

Anyone investing into the sport of golf is a good guy in my eyes. Even if he seems pompous as a person. -
I was just thinking the same thing, Hahah

I have been wanting my fiancee to get into the game. Apparently the thought of coming golfing with me is horrendous as she struggled to sit through me popping 50 balls down the range. One can dream.

Congratulations. Must be an amazing feeling.
