I don't particularly like that you have missed my point and replied like above. You got it totally wrong. The bet between us is not what I posted on this tread. As this tread's title, Tiger outside the Top 50, I pointed out that people still rout for him and believe that Tiger can come back and gave some kick to you and others by bringing back last year's bet. As you insisted, you will be getting a PM from me when last PGA Tours sanctioned tournaments ends. And if you think Tiger can claim a win next year, I'm always up for your bet.

Since I am hooked into different sports, I haven't visit SandTrap as often as I used to. The myth of 'Tiger will be back on top' is still here. He is out of 50. Regardless how he did well on few tournaments, he is out of 50. I've been saying this for few years. He is not same Tiger anymore and will not be ever. oh.. Iacas, which one is last PGA sanction tournament that Tiger will play? If the Fry's is the last one, I expects $100 from you on no later than coming Sunday evening (if he ever make a cut). and upon receiving the bet prize, I will double it for next year. Are you in?

Wel... Here is what I do. Assumption: 1 bucket = 90 balls. Practice about 18 balls only focusing on striking (no target). Play 18 holes with rest of 72 balls. Just imagine you are playing a round with 2 balls. Pull out your driver (or club that you hit on tee box at 1st hole) and hit. Then hit another one to correct/duplicate (if you hit it as you wanted) first shot. Then pull out your second shot club and do it again. That will cost 72 shots to finish the imaginary 18 holes. i.e) 1st hole, 400yd Par 4. Hit my driver twice and hit 8 irons twice. Target could be vary since you may have multiple plans to attack the pin. Then move on to 2nd hole. This doesn't include short game and putting. To work on that, you need to find good practice green and short game area, such as at course, not at range.

I don't care if he or Tiger got separated or not. I am just happy not to see both unlikable guys on TV screen at same time. Only worry is that Stevie may wear Burbury like A. Scott does. :)

Do you remember that we have a $100 bet for whether Tiger wins a PGA tournament on this year? Regardless his injuries or whatever his reason(s), I was and am still confident that Tiger will not win a PGA tournament this year. When Yang took Tiger down at PGA Championship 2 years ago, new era has started..and Tiger can't get back to new era.

OP's observation could be big jump to his game. The game comes down to how low you can go or lower than opponents each hole. We as amateur golfers don't get to experience of competitive golf much. if we look closely weekly senior torney in any golf club (usually point game and bet a dollar for 9 holes), we know how they play competitively. I play 9 holes normally such as focusing on my swing or shots. But for back 9, I go for lowest score. I don't think about my swing or (ideal) shots. And time to time, register for PGA's Playing Ability Test to remind/test me if my Game is there or not. Each year, my swing and shots are less likely when I was in teens or 20s, but my game improves each year.

LPGA tour player you'd most like to play a round with .
PiustheDrGolf replied to roobatooba's topic in Tour Talk
It's funny that OP asked for one but most of repliers answered two or more. If OP asked for driver, most replies will have one or two.. not two or three. Just saying.. For OP, I would like to play with Na Yeon Choi. -
"Brandel Chamblee is the biggest Tiger hater." only if you don't count me.

I chose someone else. For next few years, I don't see any US player can be #1 of the world, like Tiger did. If there was AK or Fowler on the list, there may be a chance..but not those listed players, including Tiger.

Tiger's Swing at Bay Hill (2011)
PiustheDrGolf replied to iacas's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Yeah. This remind me of our bet ($100) whether Tiger will win a PGA tournament this year or not. Swing looks good. But is that truly all to win? Hardly. Probably better to see his brain than his swing. -
My choice around Frederick would be Little Bennett GC. It is a municipal course but course layout and maintenance is superb. You may find better condition on Whiskey or Worthington but if you like strategic courses, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I'm selling Callaway FT irons and matching FT hybrids, total 10 clubs. This set was a Father's Day gift to my dad from me last year's. I got brand new FT iron set from a local golf shop in Rancho Bernardo, CA when I visited parents home. Since he is 70+ years old, and he was having tough time to hit mid-long irons, I sold 4 & 5 irons on eBay and got him FT hybrid 3H, 4H, 5H to replace the 4 and 5 irons. Then AW was purchased to fill in the gap between PW and SW. Total cost for the combo was around $1000 give or take. The set has been played about 3 times per week so about 50-60 rounds by my dad. All clubs have M-Flex, Senior Flex. Clubs are in San Diego, CA and will be shipped from there. I'm asking $650 including shipping. Once again, set is made of total 10 clubs: 3H, 4H, 5H, 6,7,8,9,PW, AW, SW

I knew this tread is going to come up when Tiger plays first PGA tournament this year. Last year, I and Iacas had a bet if Tiger is going to win any PGA tournament this year. Of course, I bet he won't :) After seeing his performance on Farmer's, I am confident.

Lee Westwood chooses NOT to be PGA Tour member in 2011
PiustheDrGolf replied to Frank-0-Sport's topic in Tour Talk
This makes me think about PGA. I remember there was an interview with Angel Cabrera after he won US Open.. and Angel mentioned that he like European tour better than PGA Tour. Here is the quote" Read more: http://www.golf.com/golf/tours_news/article/0,28136,1737856-3,00.html#ixzz11hUzQw4w" I once heard that locker room atmosphere is totally different. European Tour is more like your own country club locker rooms after a round of unofficial member's tournament. But PGA Tour is more like PAT, which don't need to care for other players . If that's true, his choice is obvious. -
Valid and very accurate analysis. When I first saw the venue, I first thought USA team got a chance. (Steve Stricker even told that he thought he is in PA somewhere). Course is laid out more like US courses, which 'Fly' shots can be awarded. Due to wetness of the course, spin control / distance made big factors to playing well. Obviously, giving pressure to opponents on distance was evidenced in DJ vs. Kaymer, Tiger vs. Molinari, and Phil vs. Hanson matches. Some overcome those distance disadvantage through spin controls like Jimenez vs. Bubba, Stricker vs. Westwood, Jack Johnson vs. Harrington matches. I remember once Nick Price showed how to hit 150 with 3 different clubs producing 3 different shots to target and made 3 out of 3. vs. K. Perry only showed his 'fly' shots to target just 1 out of 3.

Thanks for the info for The Crossings. I will definitely play there next time when I visit my parents. So many good courses there are, not like here in N. VA.

I just wonder which teebox the participants tee off from. As I wrote mine in previous reply, 260/3.4 from Blue (avg. 6500 yds) but my dad (70 yrs old) 220/2.0 from White or senior tee if available (avg. 5600 - 6000 yds). Then getting low scores are not related to how far one can tee off. Do we always tee off from right tee box for our ability? For me, choosing right tee box is very important. Even i'm hot on driver, I don't go to Black (Championship) tee automatically. Hell, My rounds should be that I enjoy golf and take and get back to whatever architect throw at me, not agonizing for more distance for every shot.
