  1. LOL! This man knows what he is talking about!
  2. Chuck Norris can. He was the original man who made almost every golf course par 72. He let Mr. T have some par 73 because he felt bad beating him by one stroke.
  3. how do they hold spins?
  4. An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.
  5. I think a driver is like the golf source of "instant gratification" whereas a putter is like "delayed gratification". I prefer a kick ass putter, because ultimately i use this club on every hole probably 2-3 times more then my driver.
  6. I also agree. I cant find much use for it as i do with my 60 degree.
  7. 3i and 3w are completely different clubs. depending on your distance: Average distance 60 - 80-90 56 - 100 52 - 110 P - 120 9i - 130 8i - 140 7i - 150 6i - 160 5i - 170 4i - 180 3i - 190 5w - 220 3w - 240 Driver - 265 It can be about 40-60 yard difference between your 3i and 3w. So it would be little smart to carry both. But your only allowed 14 clubs, so you decide what is best for club set make up. As for hitting, 3i you hit it like an iron, except you move the ball a little bit left of the middle of your stance, and 3w like a driver aligning it with your left heel.
  8. Let try to get this going, basically you answer the person above your post, then ask your own interview question and wait for the next member to answer. I'll start it off. Q: Where do you live?
  9. Its a very nice club. Before i bought my cleveland putter, i got to try it out and it felt great. The way it picked off the club was amazing. Unfortunately i got a kick ass deal with my current putter so i bought that. rife putter is seriously a sleeper brand putter.
  10. Buy a home in California. You can golf all year long without ever worrying about the snow ruining your day. But seriously, find an indoor range facility. Good way to keep your swing at top shape.
  11. Man! im soooo jealous. Thats like one of the course i really want to go! Hopefully once the economy picks up, i'll go during the spring time for vacation.
  12. I watch that on GC top ten Phil's daring shots the other day! Dont worry another chance will come!
  13. There was a cool quote that reminded me of this "you can never own the secrets of golf, you can borrow it for certain amount of time." I get excited then frustrated all the time. You fix one thing, you find another. But thats why i love golf so much!
  14. I not too bothered by it as long as they are being discrete about it. When it rings once, turn it to silent, and take your phone calls quietly else where. Dont make us wait, hole out if you are still talking on the phone.
  15. Ouch... Hopefully that wont happen to me ever.
  16. Nice buy on the FT-i, its a great improvement driver. Just keep practicing till you build up confidence with your driver, and that what it all counts.
  17. This happens when you are tensing up when you practicing your swing. If you are doing mirror work, try not to force or tense a swing to hold a position. It should be nice and fluid. A good exercise is at address tense your muscle as hard as you can, then relax it. That why you can feel the different between loose swing and tensed swing.
  18. Get noodles, or D2 Feel or Straight. Best 2 piece cheap balls IMO. As for clubs, golf shops make 20-30% margin on clubs. which is not that much, considering you have to buy inventory thats worth at least $200,000 PER BRAND! It is expensive retailing, and most of them are dying because of the internet. I guess its really expensive because of all the technology that goes into it. Just like any other sports, when you start buying premium equipment. It just pisses me off that certain brands drop prices like no other: IE taylormade and callaway. Either way its an expensive hobby.
  19. I feel the same way too. I'm pretty patient when it comes to golf, but one day i was doing HORRIBLE! i was like slicing the ball like i was throwing a boomerang, double par'ing and holing out every single hole. By 7th hole i blew up, and starting cussing and criticizing everyone. After that, my friends didnt want to play with me for a while and was sneaking behind my back, making tee times without me. I felt so embarrassed and stupid that i promised myself that when i play golf, that i would never do that again. I play golf for fun as a hobby, not a profession. I never had a problem since.
  20. I love your iomic grip. I wanted those for my irons, but they are too expensive. My friends have it, and they are so niceeeeee!
  21. Why dont you just buy a 52 instead? But virtually it wouldnt make too much of a difference
  22. Jack Hamm is the offspring of Chuck Norris. "POW"
  23. They lag like no other. Plus they can put strength into their shots.
  24. Typically sleeve of ball, some tees, and maybe a golf towel.
  25. Yes, i would agree. Heavier putters help constant swing rate, however it is a nightmare on fast green. Heavier the putter, the faster it will take off on fast greens. My putter is inbetween heavy and light, so i can play both fast and slow greens. Its all you to find which weight would be the right stroke. TM spider putters are nice because they can change weight and such, but it is too bulky for me.
