Make sure Twisted Sister isn't living in his bedroom. Sorry..couldn't resist. He sounds like a good kid and I'm sure with the proper parenting (and it sounds as if you are doing well) he will most likely be OK. We went through similar things with 2 daughters and both are doing well in a career and college. Perhaps with the assistance of the educators that responded, you will get through this without issue.

Brandon pretty much nailed it. Laptops are nearly impossible to upgrade, except memory and disk. You are pretty much stuck with the technology that was built in. That's not to say it won't last longer than a desktop, but as applications become more CPU and graphics intensive the older device won't be able to keep up. A modest desktop will also be about half the cost of the laptop. Just one other point, stay away from Celeron processors. Although they make for a very inexpensive computer, it doesn't take much to slow one down.

Actually it has more to do with the frequency of the signal than the strength. GPS signals are in the gigahertz range and the wavelength of the signal is very small in comparison to other signals such as AM radio which can easily travel through buildings and other obstacles. The small wavelength of the GPS signal can actually be obsorbed by foliage or even moisture laiden clouds.

Dicks has the SG4 at $150 right now. It doesnt appear to be real fancy, but the price would be tough too beat.

I believe so. He basically has a sponsers exemption for next years Miricle network. If he wins, I believe he gets a card for 2011. If he doesn't win in 2011, he would have to go to Q school to keep the card for 2012. Hopefully I got that right.

Just curious. Do any of these units have a mode where if you wanted to practice on a field, it would allow you to check distances or do these things only work if you are on a designated golf course?

Unless your golf course is made of mats, I think grass is always a better choice for practice. Unfortunately not all practice facilities have grassy areas for practice.

I think I saw something on the Golf Channel that Tiger is/was the most penalized player on tour. Apparently he is fined quite often for his antics. I guess they weren't severe enough to take away any titles.

This makes no sense too me. By the time you have made the bad swing, it's too late to correct it anyway. For a low handicap golfer, the bad swing is the exception, not the rule.

Personally I think throwing clubs and foul language is due more to embarrassment then anything else. It takes the focus off the bad shot/putt and places it elsewhere. Not a psychologist, but it just seems reasonable.

I already excercise several times a week. Wouldn't have the time. Probably a good idea, but I prefer to do general excercise that I can do at home.
