  1. I remember an interview where Tiger spoke about the 9 shots. They were low, mid and high trajectory draws, straights and fades. He could hit them with any club. Except the putter
  2. From one Pacific Northwesterner to another, welcome to the site!
  3. I consider a good shot to be anyone that ends up where I wanted. I can have a bad strike but a good shot at the same time.
  4. The only way he could win in Tacoma is if this was the 90's. I LOVED watching Tiger play. Some of my best memories with my dad involved watching Tiger slay the field. But he's done. His biggest advantage was never physical, it was mental. He was in "golf boot camp" since he could walk. He said that there were times where he was so deep in the zone that he doesn't remember hitting shots. I guarantee you he remembers every stroke he took today and they are devouring his confidence. It's really sad to watch.
  5. This kind of hope is like a bad comb over. I just want to yell "It's gone dude! Let it go!"
  6. eBay may be your best (and cheapest) option. I have bought a few through them. And yes, each manufacturer has its own wrench. They have different torque specs.
  7. And People magazine is a good source for current world events.
  8. Fitness issue? Sure it is. And if she had whip cream on her chest would it be the cooking issue? When is the last time you saw a woman working out topless in the gym? I have my own feelings about the cover but let's call it for what it is, the sex sells issue. Marketing 101.
  9. C'mon man, I just said that I wear loafers. Don't you think I know the difference between lavender and lilac?
  10. Anything is possible but I think for most people only playing in 2 tournaments a month and practicing a couple times a week seems a little tough. But I may be wrong. So my original statement should have been that it is possible but pretty tough for most.
  11. Stay classy my friend
  12. Do more of everything. I'm not sure single digits is possible playing once in a while and practicing only twice a week.
  13. I wear LAVENDER and loafers into a warehouse full of Teamsters. Do you honestly think I have a problem retaining my "man card"? I'm not so sure being specific negates ones masculinity. But at 6'2 and 225 pounds I've never questioned my own :)
  14. It can go both ways. The guys need a little love too.
  15. I have the same feeling as men in skinny jeans. Please don't!
  16. Honestly I could care less about the comments. I have worked with those guys since I was a kid (19 years old). And after 20 years they know I wear whatever I want. It's pretty fun to show up in a lavender polo and see them smile and shake their heads. They're used to it by now. I joke with them that their idea of "dressing up" is a clean camo t shirt. And I was a Teamster for 7 years as well.
  17. Not necessarily :) I have several pink shirts and wore one to work one day. The fellas had a good time with the choice. Of course i manage Teamsters which makes for an interesting environment. But the girls in the office liked it!
  18. Meadowood is a great course. And you heard right, we have fantastic munis for a great price. The city and county cards are $35 a piece but they knock off $5 per round. It's a good deal. You definitely need to try Hangman and Indian Canyon. They are definitely my 2 favorite courses in the area. And I'm sure you've heard about the Circling Raven already. Around $100 a round but there are always deals to be found and it's by far the greatest course in the area. It's nice to have a fellow Sand Trapper in the area! Welcome!
  19. What course did you play?
  20. Not this year! I live in Spokane and played every month this winter for the first time ever. 52 degrees on December 23rd. Totally crazy. It's a great year to be a golfer in Spokane Wa.
  21. I honestly went into a small rage when I read your opening line. Not kidding. But you brought me back down. I truly thought that I may have to see a therapist about my obsession (I use that word in the literal sense) with golf until I found this site years ago and realized that there are more just like me and I'm not alone
  22. I think a lot of people fail to understand or realize what a proper diet, supplement program (all natural) and a ton of hard work will do. I was 185 right out of high school and weighed 235 5 years later. And, I didn't have access to world class trainers or the money for the top supplements at the time. I had to go through quite a bit of trial and error. I guess my point is not everyone that is very muscular is on steroids. Besides, Tiger really is not all that big.
  23. Agreed. I can tell if I hit slightly behind the ball on a mat vs. when I have made ball first contact. You may not get penalized on distance as much as grass, but the feeling is quite different. The only problem I have with tight lie mats is that the club bounces a little after the strike vs. taking a little divot. The feeling can be a little jarring, especially with wedges.
  24. It's just someone that has a prejudice for one reason or another. Like, "Black caddies" or "Democratic/Republican caddies" or "Woman caddies". It's small minded behavior for no reason.
