That makes it tough. I would want my putter and definitely need driver so it would come down to a choice between 7 and PW. PW seems more comfortable/useful under the "typical" scenario you outlined. However, if you are comfortable being creative with your 7 from shorter distances that would decrease the gap to driver. My vote ate your course is driver, 7 and putter. Sounds like fun...enjoy!

Is this 3 clubs plus putter? If so, I suggest driver, 7i and PW. You can cover 130 and down with PW, and 130-160+ with 7i. If you get a very long 2nd you can try driver.

My understanding of "links" is that many people have a different set of criteria. I guess I agree that Chambers Bay and The Kingsley Club are not true links courses. When I hear the term it brings a vision of natural seaside dunes, sandy soil, fast, firm with weather often in play, and options to play the "ground game". Chambers was created by necessity; there is no sea or Great Lake near Kingsley; but both courses offer the same style of play along with most of the other features, and are a blast to play every round.

Can we make #2 fast? Undulations and greens promoting creativity are great, but so are fast and true. Flat is boring so I will go with #2.

If you are looking for decent courses with more reasonable prices check out Stallion Mountain and Wild Horse.

Best 92 ever for me. 2nd time on this course that has many elevation changes and hidden hazards. 6 penalty strokes and never really put anything together. But also hit everything solid. I'll take it any day.

Nice story but. . . . not official right? Two swings, two aces: College golfer's miraculous moment Just days after his father passed, a college golfer carded two aces on a single hole where he'd grown up learning the game.

Playing more and year-round.

Personally I did not have an opinion one way or the other about Cobra. BC as an ambassador does not offer any incentive to even consider their products, and maybe is even a disincentive in making my decision. If I already loved Cobra products I probably would not switch, but if was on the edge I may decide to change.

Ten but hopefully will get to add at least one more. U.S., Oz, Bahrain, Indonesia, Jamaica, Papua Hew Guinea, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

The pants I have like that were not called joggers and the legs extend a bit further south. Depending on the material they look similar to golf pants IMO, although the cotton models do look like sweats. I wouldn't were them that short since fire ants may bite my ankles and cause me to destroy a tee marker.

From my perspective I prefer fast greens since that is what I learned on and have played the most. Slow greens always take more time for me to adjust. It's not that one is easier than the other IMO.

Slow play - I doubt they were actually running. There is no reason professional golf should be so slow, and if warned they did not even meet those lowly standards. Brooksie - Unless the Tour decides spectators are to remain silent, then deal with it. Many players have dealt with this in the past... Colin (Mrs. Doubtfire) Montgomerie comes to mind as an example.

#1 any time, any temperature and even in the rain. After moving from Michigan I don't know if I could go back to mosquitos and biting flies/gnats.

More drama from Bryson? “It’s just really, really painful when Bryson says something that stupid,” Ben Schomin, Cobra’s tour operations manager, told USA Today. “He has never really been happy, ever. It’s like an eight-year-old that gets mad at you. They might fly off the handle and say, ‘I hate you.’ But then you go: ‘Whoa, no you don’t.’ “We know as adults that they really don’t mean that and I know that if I got Bryson cornered right now and said, ‘What the hell did you say that for?’ he would say that he was mad. He didn’t really mean to say it that harshly. He knows how much everyone bends over backwards for him, but it’s still not cool.”

@billchaoTrue; in the same way every Dallas Star benefited. I agree that was a terrible call, but Modano did nothing against the rules. He did start the play and get an assist (I guess) that was not deserved. Who knows what would have happened if the goal was (properly) disallowed. I was just wondering if bland Mike actually was part of a controversy of his own doing.
