We pay $139/month for an "associate" membership at our club. That gets us full access to the pool, tennis court, clubhouse, etc. Greens fees are $8 on weekdays and $10 on weekends. Cart fees are $9 for 9 holes and $16 for 18 holes (though I never take a cart). Our initiation fee was only $100 (normally $500) due to a promotion they were running. For $229/month I wouldn't have to pay greens fees but I'd need to average about 10 rounds of golf a month over the course of the entire year to get my money's worth.

That jumped out at me right away. He's 100% trying to scam you. After filing the paypal complaint I would likely respond back to his email calling his bull$*** excuse out.

I'm a big fan of Ogio bags so I would probably lean that way. It also appears to be the lightest one. The Callaway is pretty nice but is a bit heavier.

Two great programs that I've done and would recommend to anyone are P90X and Insanity. You can do the workouts from home and they will absolutely kick your ass. They come with great nutrition plans as well.

As far as format goes, it will be a 4 man scramble.

I run an Ohio-based sports and general discussion forum. We were throwing around the idea of having a golf outing this summer and now we have turned it in to a charity golf outing to benefit the Progeria Research Foundation (the daughter of a member has progeria). I've never ran a golf outing before, I've never even really played in one, so I am kinda lost and trying to seek out any information I can that will help. Any pointers, info, links to helpful websites, etc that anyone can post would be greatly appreciated. *title should say "planned" not "planning"*

I wear a white Jets hat on the course. No sense paying $25 for a golf specific hat when I've got a perfectly fine Jets hat to wear.

This is awesome! My best hole was probably from last weekend. A par 3, 160 yards uphill (ridiculously uphill, you can't see the green from the tee box, just a short section of the flag). Hit a 5-iron about 4 feet past the pin and tapped in for birdie to save myself from driving my cart into the lake. Outside of that hole I had a very, very rough day. :)

As a Jets fan I am glad that they will get to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium. :)

An Under Armour polo that was on sale.

I've been trying to find a sleeve of these locally but haven't any one that has them for sale. I'll probably just break down and spend the $40 in a few weeks if I still can't find a sleeve.

Nike One Tour dozen's just went on sale on tgw.com for $30.

I got mine for $200 on ebay. I think $250 is the standard price for it, I've never seen if for more than that.

I've got 12 at the moment, though I just bought #12 yesterday (56* Vokey at Play It Again for $40). I'll be adding a 3 or 4 wood here soon, and probably a 60* as well.
