  1. I tell my good friend what club to hit and what shot to hit a lot. But the thing is is that HE ASKS ME. I have seen a lot of people who try to tell others how to hit it which is ok if the person asks you but when they don't I agree its' just annoying. When I first starting playing with him when he was in the bunker and would try to pick it every time instead of hitting through the sand. This would result in him sculling every shot. I was tired of him struggling and not having fun in the bunker so I told him what to do without asking, now he gets up and down a lot out of the bunker and that's when he started asking me about other shots.
  2. If I hit anything from a 2-5 it is at least 185 away, so getting on the green is great if it happens to get close then that's super. I would much rather have a 30-40 2 putt then worrying about getting up and down.
  3. I like to warm up with some balls but if I don't I am fine after 1 or 2 holes. I will also chip and hit a few putts to get the general speed of the greens.
  4. Usually I hit some range balls before I play, but there are some courses I play without a range. In the end I don't think it affects my round too much. As long as I control the first few shots I am warmed up by then. But I don't take and rip a driver as hard as I can if I didn't hit any range balls first.
  5. If I ever have one I would consider it to be when I have a bogey free round. Nothing worse than having a couple of birdies then having 3 or 4 bogeys keep you from breaking par.
  6. Yesterday shot 77. 2 birdies and 7 bogeys.
  7. I have a friend who shot 94 one round and the very next round shot 75, and then he also shot a 92 then shot a 76. That is some Jekyll and Hyde. lol
  8. Three shots this week so far. One round 110 yds out hit 52* to 6" and today drained a 50' birdie putt and today also hit to about 15-20' with a 2-iron on a 234 yd par 3 : )
  9. I really never have a problem of being hit into more than once. When I played today someone hit a bad shot and sliced it in front of my tee box, it wasn't even that close really (maybe 10 yards and was rolling). But the person came up and apologized. If they are just jerks and keep doing it more than once the best thing to do is call the clubhouse and have the ranger kick them off the course. Get them in their wallet, after paying not getting to play will make them mad enough.
  10. I definitely need a glove. I have to take it off after every swing so I can keep it dry. When its above 90 I have had to rotate two gloves in a round.
  11. I started off with baseball grip. Someone mentioned to try the overlap. It took about a week to get used to but now I can't play any other way. I have tried the interlock but my hands are way to small and it doesn't work for me.
  12. My 2 iron is a Hogan Apex, I love it and it is becoming my favorite club. I kill it off the tee. It has helped improve my score by a couple strokes a round.
  13. 76 today. 5 bogeys 1 birdie and 12 pars.
  14. 39 at Wakefield TPC Practice 9 holes. Triple Bogeyed the first hole then had 1 Bogey and 1 Birdie and the rest pars.
  15. I usually drink water and Gatorade. Depending on how hot it is I feel like the Gatorade helps give me energy later in the round.
  16. I don't keep mine in the trunk but I put them in the car almost always when I go somewhere. I bring them in case I get a chance to play or stop by the range, other wise I bring them in.
  17. Anyone have any comparisons of a 907 D2 versus a 905 series driver? Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks, Daniel
  18. I have a Popeye head cover for my driver and Brutus for my 3 wood. I use a putter booty for my putter and my irons aren't covered.
  19. I don't know how to judge what an 80% swing would be because there are too many factors, but I just swing what feels comfortable and that probably is what 80% could be I guess.
  20. I hit my 6 iron 180yds. comfortably
  21. My Swing Speed is between 110-115. At the range I go to there is a 250 marker and a net that is 275 away. I carry my drive somewhere past the 250 marker (cant see exactly) and sometimes hit the net in the air. When I am on the course it may be a little longer and depending on the course by the time the ball stops I have occasional 300yd drives. To be honest I am happy with about 260 carry in the fairway every time but I also have bad shots that don't go that far. The only time I have a problem with distance being a factor is if I am driving into the wind, In which case I usually use a 2-iron because it stays low and will roll a long way. There have been several times where in wind I out drive my playing partners with my 2-iron and them using driver. So in essence I dont worry about driving distance too much because I have other clubs I can go to to get the ball out far enough.
  22. I have played both NXT Tour and PRO V1 and to me the difference was with my tee shots. I prefer the NXT with the driver and the PRO V1 with the irons. As far as stopping the ball the NXT wasn't bad. If I had to buy the balls on my own I would go with the NXT Tours. Right now a friend gave me some PRO V1's so I change my ball depending on the distance of the hole and the green layout. I have played entire rounds with both an NXT and PRO v1 without any scuffs, but that is just hit or miss because I have had both scuff with just one shot before.
