  2. Gotta love that!
  3. I think that would be a good one for you. I think you may be using too much of your right arm during the downswing, breaking a lever and causing an early release of the clubhead. Try using your left arm on the backswing and to begin the downswing while only allowing your right arm to come into play when the hands hit the body.
  4. I thought that wedges were typically supposed to be the same length.
  5. Get her to stand closer to the ball and then see what happens.
  6. I think you're raising up because the ball is too far back in your stance, but if you move it forward you'll prob hook the crap out of it.
  7. Good job man! I also had a killer round on Monday, 77, at Legends: Heathland in Myrtle Beach, SC. Won my tournament! Pretty good compared to my handicap!
  8. Handicaps haven't dropped much because many amateur golfers do not get club-fitted. I think it's something like 65% of golfers don't get fit for their clubs.
  9. To me, Stack and Tilt is just another way to swing a golf club. I do not oppose stack and tilt; instead, I believe a golf instructor should be well rehearsed in all of the different golf swings. When it comes to teaching, I believe an instructor should not just focus on one type of swing; rather, decide which one is best fit for their pupil based on their body type, current swing tendencies, physical strength, flexibility, etc...
  10. Well at least i got something right! Iacas, is the swing you teach the S&T;?
  11. Never seen that before, that was awesome!
  12. This is just a band-aid but add some lead tape to the heel of your driver.
  13. My avatar is a guy with a golf club from the movie Avatar :)
  14. You're having trouble keeping your head still and remaining in your spine angle because you're overswinging. See how on the backswing your hands are behind your head? Keep your hands up and out, you should be able to easily turn your head and see them at the top of your backswing. You see the pic of the bottom video? Instead of taking the club more over your hips and getting stuck, try taking it more upright towards the shoulder. Drill: Address the ball, cock your wrists so the club is parallel with the ground, turn your shoulders making sure you can still easily see your hands as mentioned above, swing. You'll notice that your shoulders are going to have to move at a more upright angle as opposed to how they move now, more horizontally.
  15. Why don't you just buy some rain gloves?
  16. Keep track of their score, if they're playing exceptionally well, let them know! LOL!
  17. Completely agree!
  18. Make a practice schedule devoting as much time, if not more, to your short game. Ok, more. Stick to it and you'll be shootin in the 70s in no time!
  19. Everyone gets mad, the question is, do you stay mad?
  20. Agreed..maybe we're taking this a bit too seriously!
  21. Yeah, I do the same thing with my clubs. I attempt different types of shots with different clubs. I rather manipulate the clubface and not my swing path. Here's what I do, it may sound weird! I'll aim my clubface directly where I want the ball to start. I then get an idea of how open or closed the clubface must be in order to hit a particular shot to the target. For instance, I'm aimed 15 yards left of the target, my clubface must be open just a fraction on the downswing. Just before I make contact with the ball, I'll say "fade", "draw", "insert whatever you want the ball to do here". Of course I don't say it out loud, but I find it interesting how my subconscious takes over and does what I tell it to do. If you do try this, be careful not to say it too early, especially at the top of the backswing or during transition.
  22. Yup, that's why each and everyone of us exercise and stretch everyday!
  23. LOL! As a 9 handicap, I'm sure you know many of the basics of golf....but it is FREE LESSON MONTH!
  24. You may be hitting thin shots because you're too scared of hitting it fat. I've got a few suggestions: 1. I'm not sure how high you grip your clubs, but maybe try choking down a bit. Doing this will give you the feeling of more control and confidence in "hitting down" on the ball. 2. Get some baby powder or something, put a line on the ground, and place balls on that line. Practice making divots in front of the line. Give em a shot!
  25. I didn't make the high school team. Four months ago I was a 19 handicap, got it down to 10 now. Only place to go now is down. Maybe I'll send a letter to the old golf coach after I'm scratch!
