Played 36 holes today for the first time this summer including the fastest round of my life (2.25 hours). Shot 81 the first round and 86 the second, I had to walk the second round and just kinda got tired and shot 45 on the last 9. Good day of golf though :)
I think it's a good idea! If you are a competetive person and you want to play some more competetive golf then go for it! Maybe tell your playing partners the story you just told us on the first tee, I'm sure they will make you feel more comfortable about it all. Good luck!
I heard somewhere that most pros actually prefer the overlap grip compared to the interlock, but more on topic - very few pros use the baseball grip and many respectable teachers will wane you away from it.
Edit: Oh I forgot to add, I interlock for everything except putting. Baseball just feels better for putting.
I was pulling for Tom as well (fellow Kansas City boy), but I still like Stewart because it wasn't his fault Tom screwed up.. Plus he's hard not to like if you keep up with him on twitter.
Since I've accomplished my main goal of breaking 80 multiple times I'm going to make a new goal and that is to shoot even/under par through nine holes.
I played with this kid in a match last season that wasn't too good, and expected way too much of himself. He had a serious anger problem, he literally chucked his club about 40 times and knocked his bag over about 10 times (one time it almost fell in a lake! haha). Oh and that was just a 9 hole match.
