  1. I wonder if that was the same guy from the driving range in the thread started about 1 wk ago??? Sounds the same with all Taylormade duds. Wouldn't that be funny if two threads were started about the same guy sucking? :)
  2. SUH-WHEAT!!!!! How utterly useless. It'd make more sense to play barefoot.
  3. If only they'd come out with a pair of thong sandals I'd be hooked! I prefer less traction... and dirty feet..... and blisters...... and ridicule.....
  4. What is it you like about them? I've looked at them a couple of times because of the "yellow," but can't pull the trigger on a $45 a dozen golf ball. When they finally make one that's yellow around $25 I plan on trying them out.
  5. Unfortunately no, :) although those bags are very cool! I don't have one of those, but I've always liked them.
  6. Very cool looking bag... makes me envious, even though I won't need a bag for the rest of my life (I'm a bag hoarder, I have WAY too many golf bags, so many that I'm not going to say the number). Good price on it too!
  7. Pictures of bag and top with tubes?
  8. So I was cruising Craigslist and saw an ad for 3 Cleveland wedges. Naturally, I'm a sucker for the deal so I opened up the ad and found that the guy was selling a: 56* CG 10 (chrome) 55* Tour Action 691 RTG (RTG is the rusted finish, just in case you didn't know) 60* Tour Action 485 RTG As you can see in the pics below, they are in "decent/fair" shape for used wedges, and obviously 2 of them have a rusted finish (which can be an aquired taste). All of the wedges seem to still have good grooves. If I started to use them regularly, I'd regrip them so they'd all have matching grips. I got all 3 for $50. I plan on trying out the RTGs just to see if there's really more spin compared to the 588 chromes that I am currently in love with in the bag. I'm not sure if I want to mess with the CG 10 or not. So honestly, how'd I do? Good deal or outdated wedges?
  9. Played Sunday and shot an 87, which was the equivalent to me playing at a 17.6 handicap according to the online handicapping system I use..... pretty proud of that.
  10. I have the PW in my X-18 set, a 51*, 56*, and 60* Cleveland 588 wedges. I use the PW and 51* for full shots, use the 56* for anything 95yds and less (and lay it open for flop shots), and use the 60* for sand. Setup works well for me!
  11. I have had 2 sets of Eye 2s (and still have one set - my plus no pluses - in the closet) and they are great clubs. They were my first real set and worked really well for me, and compared to a new set, are relatively cheap. The only downside (if you view it that way, but I personally didn't) is that they are about 1 club weaker than what you have probably used. They were produced before the "loft strengthening revolution." If that bothers you, go another route, but you won't be sorry you have them if you buy them!
  12. I was looking at buying one... though it will be a while before I need a new puttergrip. It looked interesting and didn't look entirely round, which I liked. On a side note, I tried using my odyssey poker chip today and actually liked it! It just seemed easier for me to pre-read my putt with a marker that was about the same width as the ball. I did use my hat clip once though because I was in the way of my playing partner, but other than that it worked out really well.
  13. Where'd you get it? I can find the website, but not how to purchase.
  14. I've considered them (the RTJ courses sell them and I get one at each one of those specific courses I visit), but they seem a little large for me when you think about WHY you mark your ball. Typically I only mark when I'm in the vicinity of my playing partner's line... but I guess you might typically move to the left or right of the line anyways, so it probably doesn't matter. Now that I think about it, I have an Odyssey poker chip marker I think I'll try tomorrow..... maybe I'll like it. FYI- if you decide to go a different route than the poker chip, maybe try a metal marker that is NOT shaped round... like the callaway hexagon or perhaps something similar to your "shield picture?" I personally think that would be really cool (but then again, I am the wierdo that has like 30 ball markers)!
  15. You guys are going to be disgusted by the sheer quantity.... it's a collection/obsession/whatever you want to call it. My dad and I get them for each other when we play new courses, as souveniers. I typically only use the top hat clip and keep the divot reparier in my pocket.
  16. I'll bet you're really bald you cheap a**! JUST KIDDING... Totally kidding and couldn't help myself. But I always tip my hair stylist/cutter/whatever :)
  17. He's a 22.5. I thought 13.5 for a minute too, but that's one of the original repliers. Woops - entirely missed the 2nd page of the thread....sorry
  18. BRDEMAN - Birdieman HOLEIN1 - pretty obvious (if you can use numbers on the tag)
  19. Then again, that could probably be taken the wrong way if you pass someone that had been to prison..... don't want anyone to follow you home or anything!
  20. How about SHANKER?
  21. Do you golf in the Sahara? :) Just kidding. Looks oober functional, but I don't think it'd quite fit my "demanding style needs." If you want to know what I look like, just pick up your local edition of "I'm big-boned, not fat dam*it!" magazine. :)
  22. Checked out the Tad Moore website and hummm...... some of them look like ripoffs of popular putters (the tempo looks an awful lot like the Taylormade Monza Spider) and a couple of the others look pretty well made and unique (the Tour and the Rudder). Which one were you looking at? How much is "reasonably priced?"
  23. If you take it to just about any golf shop (including Dicks or Golf Headquarters for example) you can pick out a grip from their selection and they'll cut off the old one, cut down the butt of the shaft, and put on the new grip all in about 5-10 minutes if they're not busy. I had a club cut down and regripped not too long ago and it cost me $12 or so. Definitely not a major expense and worth it if you want the putter shorter (my dad makes clubs also, so I've had some experience tinkering with regripping, etc. on my own as well).
  24. "He just looked at me like I asked if I could run him over with a golf cart..." Hahahaha - I actually sat with the laptop and laughed at that comment and my 2 yr. old looked at me like I was weird. You always risk running into a turd while playing... today just happened to be your day. What really sucks is when the course Ranger is a turd!
