  1. Here are a couple of CS putters which have been pretty popular with a few guys. 4.0- 4.30 toe hang gives it a nice combination with the centre shaft.
  2. I am using a Lajosi KLP5-CS- carbon steel -Raw. 360g, 70* & 2.5*, deep face milling, bullet sole. I just started using it - my first CS and I love. I've always been a PN guy, but this thing is just working for me- my arc must not be as big as I thought.
  3. Nothing beats the soft feel of cabretta leather..
  4. I don't know what's all the fuss- DJ didn't read the notice on his locker- so there's no one to blame but himself- and maybe his caddie.
  5. I doubt there would an issue with the course or pin placement's if Tiger or Phil had done it!!
  6. Great stuff "Apples" - 59 on sunday to win was awesome!!! - After 11 straight weeks it was well deserved mate!! If your worried about the low scores, maybe they should stop serving up these wet receptive greens.....
  7. "I think if your ball lies within a putters grip or so to the cup, count the stroke and pick up." Unfortunatley you can't do that in our weekly club comp- probably explains our 4.30min rounds.........
  8. Tiger talks about adjustment for the pace of the greens- he doesn't need as much with the Method- what happens when he plays the faster US greens, - he's going to have to make a big "adjustment" with the "hot" Method face- or maybe go back to the SC......
  9. He's won 2 opens on the same greens using the SC- and now he needs a new putter because they are slower- yeh right!!
  10. The LPS1-CS is pretty good- 340g-360g weight range & V-groove option give it a great feel.
  11. If you put a tube/pipe over the grip when you blow them off you won't have any bubbles- Ideally the tube should just fit over the grip- blow till you hear a POP and the grip should come off nice & easy...
  12. I'm looking for a good workout for a more seasoned golfer(older body) - something that can work in with your working & family life.
  13. I have a regular playing partner at my club who is very slow walking to his ball, slow to get a club and slow to hit it , takes forever on the green and then when he's playing bad, tells us to hurry up and hit on the tee- "it's your honor" You might ask why he is a regular playing partner- he's a mate I've known for 30 yrs.......
  14. The R9 460 is the go.
  15. Thanks James, I have a few new things I am trying with the face of a putter - some practical- with v-groove milling and also a bit of art- with my lizard face and some diamonds & pearls. Hope to get a chance to put some pics up soon. Kari
  16. Hi Sand trap- my name is Kari Lajosi, I'm from Melbourne Australia, play off 9(ocassionally) and love the game of golf and have a real passion for putters. I have a small engineering company which gives me the opportunity to make CNC milled and hand made custom putters. I hope to be able to show you some of my putters design's, my V-groove face milling styles and some of my new complete face milling options- the Lizard, diamond and the pearl..... I love putter's, - I love making them and I love trying something new!! Kari
  17. I have 3- pitching W at 48*, Vokey 52* bent to 51* and a Vokey 60* which is perfect for the fine sand we have in the Melbourne sandbelt.. Kari
  18. A good fitting will have some high speed video of you hitting some putts. This should give you all specs you need to fit a putter to your stroke. Kari
  19. Not a bad looking grip, 2 bucks a pop is pretty good.
  20. I'd love to be hitting 280 yrds consistantly- Why change, that's got to be long enough on most course's. Kari
  21. They are pretty similar putters, with very similar inserts, the Black series is just a later version with updated engraving & paintfill. Kari
  22. Does it matter how they look in your bag?- You don't see the the ugly cavity or flange when you are over them ready to pull the trigger- and if they work -Great - I think the number on the score card is all that counts!
  23. It's pretty easy to do it yourself- if you have an old shaft that you don't need, cut a bit off that will slide nicely into the butt, the taper will help. Press it in tight, cut it to you so you have an extra 2", tape up the end so there is no step and you are ready to fit the grip. Kari
  24. I think you would find a lot of pros have had their 3w in the bag for a while- they find one that works and are reluctant to change. Mine is a R7 steel head- it's the second best club in my bag-after my putter.
  25. A very interesting thread... Do you really believe the manufacturers of the "clone" or knock off clubs use the same materials and manufacturing procces's as the OEM, do you really think they will have the same quality control over the product- have xray facilities to check each weld on a titanium headed driver or microscopic analysis of the steel used in their cast 5 iron- you reckon "pong" do that- come on!!!- these process's are done to produce a quality product, which in turn have a price- the clones do not - resulting in a cheaper price. I respect anyone's decision to use them and probably have good results with them, but to infer they are the same quality is clearly incorrect and to use the OEM reputation to sell a product is dishonest!!! Shanks- your Dynacraft putter may well be awesome and obviously works for you, unless it is milled from one piece carbon steel or stainless steel, it's not the same as a Scotty Cameron or many other OEMs who manufacture their putters this way. One piece milling is complex and time comsuming(I should know I am a putter maker). Cast putters and cast that are skim milled are less so, resulting in a lower price. The putter is the most individual club in the bag- what feels good to one- might not feel good to another- so to you the Dynacraft is as good as a Scotty, but to others it is not....... Kari
