  2. The way others putt does not bother me at all, whatever works for them is fine by me. I tend to watch only those people who are good putters.
  3. I have watched it a few times so far, it is really boring. I can't see it lasting but TGC programming sucks these days so it may survive longer than it should.
  4. I am about 5/10 at this time, realistically I have about 3-3.5 more months before golf season starts here. Winter so far has been good, only a small amount of snow like 2010, I managed to get out on April 1st last year which was the earliest in many years. I have a new set of irons coming, probably delivered early next week so I will be heading to the heated outdoor range when they arrive to see if I made a mistake with my purchase.
  5. Great shot by Bubba, nice way to finish his round.
  6. Picked up 2 dozen TP Blacks a week ago, I still love those golf balls, I may need to get some more in case they disappear off the shelves.
  7. I think the 9 degree would be work ok, you have the ability to adjust the loft, some experimentation would be required. I am also a 9.5 degree user when it comes to drivers, I will try the R11 when they are available here to see if it fits me. I tend to hit the ball fairly high anyway so the 9 degree would probably be ok for my swing. I love the look of this driver but it all comes down to feel and accuracy for me. The white color has certainly grown on me, it looked good on tv last night. The white Burner SuperFast looks pretty good also but I like having the ability to make adjustments if required.
  8. I have owned both of those, the G10s are very forgiving and provide great help on mishits. Having said that, the wide soles of the g10s drove me crazy, just not a good fit for me. I should have gone with the i10s at that time. The 2009 VR full cavity have a cleaner look, narrower sole and were a better fit for me bit I hated the stock shafts which ballooned most of the time for me, sold those to a friend and he loves them. Go try them both and make your decision based on what is the better choice for you, there are other alternatives also.
  9. Currently using Cameron Kombi S, I decided I needed a mallet style putter for a while. The 007X Morgan is not far away though.
  10. I felt the need to add a pic of a hottie from a few years back, it was taken in 2004 but I always found this pic to be very appealing to my tastes. This is David Toms' wife from an SI shoot....
  11. TW (although I am not a fan) and Zach would be my picks, the other 2 I am not sure about. AK would have been my obvious 3rd choice but he is struggling since his return from injury so he gets to stay home. Others I like that have not been to the Ryder Cup previously are Ryan Palmer and Rickie Fowler. A case could be made for either Cink or Glover but I like the idea of having "new" guys on the team.
  12. Yesterday I bought 2 Callaway Tech Series gloves, it was time for replacement. I thought about buying some TM Blacks but did not bother, I likely have enough golf balls for the rest of this season.
  13. You are correct, it was Chad who showed up in Hawaii but had not registered for the tournament, seems like he needs to get organised.
  14. I use the standard grip method (reverse overlap) when putting but have experimented with left hand low over the past couple of years. It does feel a bit weird at first but I got used to it after a few rounds. I often will use both methods during a round primarily using left hand low on shorter putts (10' or less) and conventional on longer putts. Left hand low puts my shoulders more level which does help with shorter putts, I find I have a better feel for distance putting using the traditional way, seem to have more consistency that way.
  15. I purchased GolfShot from the app store, going to give it test this coming weekend. Yesterday I also received my MiLi Power Pack so I have zero concerns about battery issues, looking forward to trying this app on course.
  16. Nice, Bubba is awesome!!
  17. Bigtank is correct . . .when Eye2s were introduced orange code was 2° flat. The color codes remained the same for many years. Recently (2 years ago) Ping changed the color chart by adding another choice (purple) which resulted in a slight change to the lie angles. Orange is now 2.25° flat.
  18. Ditto and reasonably priced. I have always been a fan of the E5 and would not hesitate to use them again. I used a version of the Nike Vapor last year, just no comparison when comparing spin with the E5, distance is very similar. The new TriSpeed Tour is pretty good, better than the regular TriSpeed but none of these balls will spin as much as premium priced balls. If you want to move up a little in price you could try the TP Black, slightly higher ball flight than some balls but lots of spin.
  19. Nothing wrong with his opinion. Rory has the confidence to play anyone, TW has struggled all year and could be primed for a loss but you never know. I am looking forward to watching the Ryder Cup this year as always.
  20. Changing putters is ok for some people, others will say it is makes it difficult to be a consistent putter. I change whenever I feel the urge, I have 13 putters at this time. It is important to use a putter that feels right to you and is visually appealing. For me a putter has to have both of those qualities.
  21. I bought the Marxman version about 1 month ago, loved it in the store but on the course was a different matter. I simply did not look right to my eye. I took it back and traded it in for a Kombi S which looks much better/feels better to me. I have many putters, was looking for a mallet as a diversion from my anser style putters, the Backstryke did not do it for me.
  22. Interesting thread. I have been looking into a golf GPS app for my iPhone, it seems like GolfShot has a lot of fans. $29.99 is fine with me since it is a one time fee. I pay more for golf balls than that!!
  23. Anywhere between 60-115 yards, that puts some loft of wedge in my hands. If I have to lay up I usually try for 100 yards.
  24. They are very nice wedges, the black finish does wear and eventually you will develop rust. I like the way they feel/play.
  25. I agree, there needs to be a change for 2015. Either they control the spectators (keep them out of bunkers) or designate some bunkers as waste areas(those outside the ropes). It is sad when this type of thing happens, it puts a black eye on what otherwise was a good event to watch.
