  1. Currently Jack. If Tiger can regain his previous form, than Tiger. Only time will tell.
  2. This x2. They care about good golf.
  3. Thanks, I wasn't sure.
  4. Set up: blind tee shot down hill, trees left. I hit my tee shot and had a little more draw than I wanted. We heard contact but never saw the ball come out. I announced and played a provisional. This was also my first time playing this course and did not know the distance to the creek that crossed the fairway. The provisional went left, but as far as directionally would be in the fairway. As we approach the area we think the first ball went in, it obviously got a members bounce and was just in the left rough. My provisional however went through the fairway and into the creek/water hazard. Being as the first ball was found, there is no penalty for the hazard correct? I was not sure how to score this. I made par if no penalty.
  5. My brother plays up to a 7 hybrid depending on how he is hitting his irons. I say if it works for you, who cares what others think. If you can hit the 5h better that the 5i, go for it.
  6. I've been to the "golf shop" about four times in the last week. Luckily I'm able to convince myself that I don't need whatever it is I'm looking at. So far I have only walked out with a new divot tool.
  7. Always good to hear of a company that takes care of its customers.
  8. Thats why Bobby Jones said "Competitive golf is played mainly on a five-and-a-half-inch course, the space between your ears." We all do it. I played nine last Friday. I was two over through six. I had only used driver on the par 5s and either 4 iron or 5 iron on the par 4s. So I get to the 7th hole a 189 par 3. Thats a 5 iron for me. Great, I been hitting it well all day. So I tee it up, and what do i do? Shank into the weeds on the right about 30 yards out. I cant find the ball and start thinking "great at least double, there goes my score". I procede to play the next three holes at triple, double, double. I cant believe I let that one shot get it to my head, but I did.
  9. Thats great.
  10. When I went shopping for a new driver this is the attitude I took. I told the pro "here is what I want to hit, but if you can put something in my hands that I hit better I'm game". Ended up with one I would have never thought of.
  11. I have the Speedline Fast 10 10.5 Matrix HD stiff. I love the driver. I hit it further and more consistantly than any of the new drivers I tested or my r7 425. If you can get a demo, give it a shot. Its a great driver. I'm glad it was recomended to me becuase I wouldnt have considered it otherwise. I just dont think Adams when I think driver. However I do now.
  12. Love Feherty. Millers Fairway metals really gets on my nerves. I know there metal, but they are still fairway woods!
  13. Hey, Tees are an important part of the game. If you didnt use them you would be hitting off of the grass:
  14. I drink the Tiger "cool aid" as much as anyone. That being said, 9 holes means squat. If he wins we should start to believe. He deffinalty needs to play more like 18, and go for it. That was always his game, hitting shots that noone esle could hit. I would love to see him win, but unless Johnson and/or Mcdowell falter Tiger will not win.
  15. I would play links golf. Plan on landing short and running up.
  16. Half and half meaning front 9 back 9, or a mixture through out. If front 9 back 9, pretty easy. If a mixture I think a lot will depend on your game and the weather. If its been wet and is soft and you can stop the ball, play it that way. If its dry and fast play links golf.
  17. Gotta have some,...... or maybe not.
  18. This. The part of the shaft that is in the hosel is a few degress angled. It is not pefectly straight with the rest of the shaft.
  19. Good luck, its tough. I've taken a few steps backwards the past few weeks.
  20. Give it time, and remember to play your game not theirs.
  21. At the start of this season I was putting a few balls in the woods, so I started trying some of the "cheaper" balls. I started with the Callaway Diablo and the Top Flite Gamer V2. The Callaway was straight, but would roll and roll and roll. I would almost have to land short of the green to keep in on the green. Then I tried the Gamer. It stops well in comparison to other budget balls. All shots either spin back or are within a few feet on the ball mark. Very good for $19. Now that I'm controlling the ball better, I have switched back to my normal ball the Callaway HX Tour i(s).
  22. 93, Good day off the tee, could not hit a put to save my life. Really need to work on the putting.
  23. Adams Speedline Fast 10 w/ Matrix Ozik stiff shaft. Had no intention of buying an Adams driver. Tried 7 different drivers. Then the pro gave me the Adams to hit. I hit the Adams more cosistantly and further than any of the Callaways Taylormade Ping etc. It probalby has a lot to do with the shaft as the Matrix shafts seem to be very good.
