  1. Congrats, what a great accomplishment. By the way, what do you usually "win" by winning a club championship? A trophy or plaque of course, but anything else that is usually standard with winning one of these? I would be totally fine with just a trophy and the title of Club Champion, but I was just curious.
  2. 85 balls which is a medium bucket at my local range. I hit driver last which usually tires me out a bit. If I were to hit irons only, I could probably hit 200 balls without getting too fatigued.
  3. I recently switched from my old TM R580(came out in 2003) to a R9 460. My drives are noticeably more explosive.
  4. LMAO at the marshmallows. I think everyone has had one of those WTF long drives before. I had a 305ish yard drive on a par 5 a couple years ago that I *think* hit a sprinkler head and just shot out down the fairway.
  5. I'm currently working as a PE teacher but my degree is in Sports Management. It's nice having a secure job with the benefits that come with being a teacher, but I'm really interested in pursuing a career in the golf industry as well.
  6. Very nice looking. alomar, when are those new nikes released?
  7. I've played very infrequently in the past years, always shooting 100+. I started taking the game seriously in July, and I've already gone down to a 25.3 from 36.4. I expect to be at least an 18 by July 2011. I am a very athletic person and was a good baseball player in my day, so I think I might progress faster than your average guy. OP, if you put in the work I think you can expect to be a single digit HC or very close in a year's time.
  8. RE: Not caring about winning the FedEx trophy itself, I'm pretty sure most of these guys are motivated enough by the 10 MILLION dollar prize to the overall winner.
  9. How can you not like this guy? Sure he's constantly smiling but it seems pretty damn genuine. Kuuuuuuuuch!
  10. Is there anything like this but for spin?
  11. Good job. When you are hitting most fairways and putting your approach shots near the green, you'd be surprised how reasonably easy it is to play bogey golf.
  12. That sounds like it'll be a lot of fun(and quite funny too). I'll bet any amount of money that you win.
  13. How can you shoot a 42, 46, and 69 for 9 holes?! Was the 69 the first round after the lesson? If you ARE NOT having fun with the game, QUIT. If you are enjoying yourself and the process than stick with it.
  14. Serious question...Is he a midget? He has a little person body type.
  15. Trying to figure out which one to buy. I have a Wilson 5 wood that is 20.5* then the next club down I use is my 4i which I don't hit particularly well.
  16. Went ahead and ordered the 401R.
  17. My advice: Win.
  18. While I wouldn't consider this bad design per se, I HATE courses that chose to just throw a bunch of water around the course in an effort to make an extremely boring and straight forward course seem unique and snazzy. It's not fooling anyone.
  19. I saw that myself. Very close to pulling the trigger on one.
  20. When I play on weekday evenings it's always around 5ish and unfortunately a lot of people have the same idea making the courses fairly crowded at times. I prefer to play around 1 if I can, since most people are still working and it's hot as hell at that time keeping the course open.
  21. You think it's due to lack of playing time? How often have you been playing?
  22. They are playing at the Emerald Bay Sandals resort course. Looking at the tees and comparing them to the show, it appears they are jumping around quite a bit. For example on the 14th hole, they played from the furthest tees(green) and the 15th hole they played from the white tees.
  23. I thought this was strange. 15 minutes into the show and the match was half way done. They are going to milk the heck out of these last 9 holes.
  24. I only played 3 rounds last year. I have 10 so far this year and I didn't even start playing until mid-July.
  25. At first I was going to go with consistency. What if you are a bad player though. I wouldn't want to be consistently bad. I'll take accuracy.
