What was wrong with the MX series? They were some of there best sellers. Leave the ugly irons over in Japan.

Scratch Wedges, a good choice?
will54 replied to Underthewind's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Why are the golds factory wedges $1,600.I don't care if a wedge is as soft and heavy as gold with the durability of SS no wedge is worth a quarter of that. -
Stand bag for under $100?

Check Ebay for the 2009 Ogio Grom model its $89+ shipping and the 2010 is 110+shipping.I just got the Ogio Nexos for $130 after shipping at I love it.Obviously if you like Sun Mountain they have those too. -

Where do you find the japanese models and how are the prices with shippinhg? -
Golfsmith has a great regrooving tool tha has two six sided cutters for v or u grooves and different sizes, though watch out if you do buy one because its easy to gouge the club face.

Refinished golf balls?
will54 replied to BogeyGolfer's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
If you have the choice between refurbished and used go with the used ones, because that way they haven't been altered with inferior coating or anything though I have played both and have had no problems besides the ones you always get with softer balls.Besides for $1.50-$2.25 per ball compared to $4.00 plus you'll get more moneys worth. -

I have the 1018 and it seems to be wearing real nice. For $150 its worth the extra $20-$30 more than the Titelist and Clevelands.ALso I believe you get more grind and loft options with the forged (1018) than the cast(8620) though if you want total customization theres always the custom models which are the 1018 that you get more grind and loft options not to mention color, lettering and paintfill though they are $350.Nice wedges for sure. -
Anyone have/use a sunday bag?
will54 replied to xxsoultonesxx's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I was actually looking at the Ogio Devolver on Ebay and it is a cart bag, lightweight cart bag or a sunday bag. It looked cool in the pics and the review I read was positive but I went with the Ogio Nexos instead,Ogio has great bags btw. -
The new Black series tour design doesn't have a insert but a thin urethane layer between the carbon head and the tungsten flange.I also believe that the first Black series went without an insert while the black series i has one which I have and its not firm at all, really soft.

Its an average of what they sale for on Ebay. If you look above the price it will show you how many sets have been factoreds into the average. I've bought some irons and a hibrid from them and they were rated as good, while the hibrid was in better than good shape the short irons were iffy to me. Thats why some real pics would be nice rather than just a rating, heck even give a short explanation of the item.

Lets hope the numbers continue as they have been!

I play Titleist 755 which aren't blades but I have a 6-9 iron in the MP 67 that I practice with and the pured shots are so much softer with the Mizunos. The Mizunos are also alot easier to work as well, though I am very inconsistent in that area and tend to only do it at the range. Anyways once I get my handicap down below 10 I'll be looking at the MP 68 or the blades that replace them when they come out next fall. (MP69's?)

Putters...Is it right for me or not?
will54 replied to chrisronline's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I'm guessing that you can't get used to the softness of the insert and maybe you should try some without them to see if that is the difference. -
The MP series is nice. You don't see to many forged or carbon steel putters. Once I get my MP 68 irons that MP series blade putter would look nice in my bag.

New Pro V1 or....something?
will54 replied to Fat Slice's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
THE 2009 models are supposed to be more durable as well, especially the softer pro v1.Anyways here are pics http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/index....tach_id=651100 . ooh exciting aren't they. -
If you like long and flashy GI clubs with strong lofts than you should like these clubs ,but for people with taste and a decent swing who could care less about distance and more about feel and workability than you will not like them. If your gonna buy a Tayormade GI CB why not just go for the R9 they have good distance and they are not near as busy in the back. It looks like they may be coming out with new blades as well. http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/...lade-spy-pics/

What a crappy site. You click on a link and it takes you to something completely different. The Wilson putters seem to be gone as well as every other interesting item like the feel ceramic putter.

golfshot app now available for android phones
will54 replied to golfnuub's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I just downloaded the GPS golfshot for my envy touch (verizon) though its been raining around here so I haven't got to use it. Anyways I was wondering if anyone has the app and if it is worth 3.99/month. -
Paddle grips are the ones with the flat front which I'm sure you have on your Odyssey since my Black series i #1 has one.
-
I was looking at the FG59 and thought they were some beautiful irons, though I never got the chance to hit them. Heres to Wilson getting fully back to there roots and producing some really nice really hard to hit clubs rather 5 different lines of GI irons.
-
Butters bad for you, thats why I play with the Titleist 755,LOL!
-
I know of a couple,my golfing partner has a Ben Hogan sure out which makes getting the ball out of the bunker a breeze, not sure about from the fairway or the thick stuff. I think its a dated model and kinda ugly but you can still find them on Ebay for fairly cheap.

Anyone here gonna take a look at the Wilson FG 62 irons or FG wedge. The irons are really nice looking though they look like the might be tough to hit. Unlike the Mizuno blades these look like they might have zero forgiveness to them.

Balls are the one piece of equipment you use on every shot and unless you lose a ton of balls might as well go with at least the mid grade balls Or you can buy a dozen reconditioned pro v1's for $20-25. Also anyone hear that Mizuno is bringing there 5 layer golf ball over to the US. I betcha Mizuno fans will be buying these as soon as they hit the shelves.
