I'm looking to get a set of Adams a3 hybrid irons. So far I've looked on ebay and there is a great deal on adams a3's with stiff flex for $25 less and it comes with a free bag. How much of a difference would it make if I could save some dough at the cost of getting a stiffer shaft? I've never been fitted so I don't really know if reg or stiff is right for me. Right now I have a slice and I don't know if it has anything to do with the shaft flex. Any advice helps.

If you have a fast swing speed stiff shaft would be a better way to go.

The wrong flex will be an insurmountable issue that you may never get suited to.

Go to a large sporting goods store that has a swing speed indicator and see where you fall.

$25 savings isn't what I'd advise you going by. Your enjoyment of the sticks will be low if they dont' suit you properly.

Depends on swing speed - which if you are not sure, check your 8 iron distance. Over 150+ yards, then definitely go for it. If you need a 6 iron for 150 then stay away. You can also stop into a golf shop like golf galaxy if you have one, try out a driver and have them check your swing speed. Over 95MPH and the stiff will be fine.

good luck
