I'm thinking seriously of getting a new 2008 Nike Sumo. I tried the square one and really liked the feel and the forgiveness. I had a chance to try the round backed one also (sorry I can't remember models). Is there any appreciable difference between the two drivers? Are there any shaft options that should be examined? Thanks in advance.

I've got the 2007 Sumo (the round one) with a stiff Aldila VS proto shaft (light blue). I didn't really care for the feel and look of the stock diamana shaft, so chose a stock upgrade in the Aldila.

It a very well-performing shaft and would be my choice if a had to buy the new Sumo, although I can't comment of the performance of the 2008 range - havn't tried them yet.

hope it helps
