What is your favorite club to get out of the woods and what shot would you use to get out?

Depends on the situation. Alot of times I'll just take a 4i and punch out to the fairway, other's I'll take out driver and try for the green. It's really situational.
I've spent most of my life golfing - the rest I've just wasted.

not really. this wouldn't be a full swing driver mind you, more of a punch, with the intention to keep it low and straight.
I've spent most of my life golfing - the rest I've just wasted.

not really. this wouldn't be a full swing driver mind you, more of a punch, with the intention to keep it low and straight.

Driver is a great club for keeping the ball low. I use it for punching under low tree branches all the time. Used it for both my tee shot and my 2nd shot on the par 5 11th hole on my home course yesterday. The result was that the 3rd shot was from the fairway at about 90 yards. If I had used any other club than the driver on the 2nd shot, I'd have either hit the tree with totally unknown results, or I'd have had to just pitch out to the fairway, leaving more than 200 yards for my 3rd. The driver is a valuable tool and it is good for much more than just tee shots.

I usually use a 3 iron to punch out, but I have a crazy high ball flight, If I have room I can prob hit a 6 iron up and over a tree. Its just that rediculous.

Its actually called a

stronger loft when the club has less loft. As for getting out of the trees it is highly situational for me. I can shape the ball fairly well, and I have a low ball flight so a punch 4 or 5 iron usually does the trick.
