I grow some balls and play over them.
You're not going to permanently injure your hand.
Chill.

I don't do anything about them, I really dont care if it grinds down to the bone, but get bandaids, or take some tape and wrap it around, bandaids are tough because they really slip.

I just tough it out and let it wear away the skin. I've had bleeding blisters countless times.

Ive gotten blisters on my right ring finger from time to time.I just let it have some open air for an hour or two (if you have that much time) and put some athletic tape over the next couple of times I play. I dont think using athletic tape on your fingers is agaist the rules.

Umm Micro-porous tape is good. Doesnt come unstuck like a plaster and doesnt affect grip at all.

That's nice those band aids are the best. I wish my club offered stuff like that, but they don't do anything like that. I'm starting to get a blister on my right thumb (I'm lefty it would be your left thumb) because thats where my glove wore through and and is rubbing against my thumb. I need a new glove, and I'm working on gripping it a little lighter.

I use electrical tape. It works pretty well. The next time you go to the range and hit a bucket or more, tape up your fingers before and you wont get them anymore.

Also, you can try going double gloved and buy yourself a right handed one. I have done this before too.

any good "athletic" bandaids will help. I suggest getting a good glove, mainly Titleist "players" gloves. I eliminate most blisters with this methodology. If they do begin to develop, I play through the pain and fix them up at home. I just run water over them and apply fresh bandages twice daily.

You beat me to it! I had the same scenario, same problem. After the first bucket I wrapped my fingers in medical tape. Stopped the worsening of the present blisters, and helped prevent new. (I forgot my gloves in my old bag, was using my new one for the first time.)

That can't be healthy.

hahahh I usually just take a break and let it heal. You'll do better when you're not in pain. ;)

I only get blisters when i had taken a longer break and the skin softend up again - and generally only on the left hand - but when i play longer streaks i normally dont get any blisters any more. I have "skin irritations" on my right ring finger my left indexfinger and left thumb - it helps to tape them up but isnt a ideal solution either since the glue used from the tape isnt really helping if you already have "thick, unhealthy skin at this spot" - but hey, what you gonna do - stop golfing? - LOL

I almost never get blisters. Once I put my hands on the club, I don't go shifting them around. This will just roll the skin on your hands into a bind, causing blisters. Also I keep my grips dry and new enough so I don't have to put the club in a death grip.

I've dealt with many fingertip blisters as a player of the upright bass. Here is how I always dealt with those. Using a sterile sewing needle, drain the blister after washing thoroughly. One or two pricks around the outside base of the blister should do. Do not peel the blister back as this is nature's bandaid. The sensitive skin underneath will become less sensitive within a day or so as your body says "hey new skin, you're on deck". Once you can rub the blister without a tingle underneath, the new skin is ready for you to remove the blister.

    • Playing irons only may lead to some short-term gains, but you'll want to at least practice with the driver if you ultimately have some decently good goals.
    • He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
