Never hit any Bridgestone clubs. They have a nice look.

I always thought the Mizuno blades look really nice.

There are a lot of real nice ones there, I've had the pleasure of hitting most of them but not in a real course scenario. I've heard some interesting things about the new cobra pro MB's

If you're looking for a blended set I've enjoyed my 735's and with the release of the new blended set they may drop a bit in price on ebay

Has anyone tried this set of Bridgestone? I'm just curious to see how they are. I am trying to save up for new, more workable irons that don't go so damn high as my Taylor Made RAC OS. The Rac OS have too much offset so I hook the hell out of them on my mishits...it's rather annoying.

As a 14 handicap and lowering rather quickly (I'm probably around a 10-12 now) would this be a good set for me?

I have the Wilson Staff Pi5 irons. They're a couple years old, but really good clubs and can be found for cheap online. Would reccomend.

I've hit pretty much everthing Titleist, Cleveland, and Mizuno. A couple of player's irons made by Wilson and Ben Hogan intrigue me, but I just haven't got to them yet.

Of what I have played so far, the Cleveland CG1's might have been my favorite. I have a set of Cleveland TA1's, and they're amazing. Also, I have a set of Mizuno T-Zoid True's, which are my favorite Mizunos I have ever hit. I don't buy into the idea that "newer" technology is better. Some of the older irons from the 80's and 90's are incredible.

These are my three favorites:

Old school: circa 1984 forged Wilson Staff Goosenecks.

Best for the price: Tommy Armour forged musclebacks circa 2006 ... can still get new for about $200 ... great buy! just change the grips.

Current and favorites: Mizuno MP-32 ... best feel and very consistent ball flight

I love my mp33 irons, they are easy to hit and look and feel great! I bought my on ebay for about $250 in relatively good shape about 1 1/2 years ago. Before I bought the mp33s I bought a set of mp30 irons that are almost like blades and I used them for about a year. I saw the mp33 on ebay and bought them because the low price. The shaft on the mp33 are dynamic gold regular shaft and are lighter than the rifle shaft that were on my mp30s.

If you are not sure, I would try a set of blades on the driving range or better yet try them on the course, and you can settle for a combo set of blades and cavity back irons. PW - 7 iron blades and 6 - 4 irons cavity back.

I think you can buy a set of mp33 on ebay for under $300 is decent shape.

I've got to put in a good word for the Ping S58s. I'll probably get some before the summer's over. I also love the Hogan Apex blades. Silky smooth. I haven't hit many of the Titleist, Cobra, or Cleveland irons. That's my vote!

    • Day 2: did my Evolver drill in the mirror.  No club, just did the motion. And this time I am confident I am doing it correctly.
    • Nothing is assured and lots of talented young athletes in many sports fail to achieve greatness. as was said, injuries, growth, lots of things can come into play, And let’s let honest, over the years a few players have been branded “The Next Tiger Woods” and yet there is only 1 Tiger Woods. My initial point was if he can do a great breakout it may capture the attention of a new generation.  Back in the 70s it was Secretariat in horse racing, we also had Jordan in basketball and let’s not forget Tiger for golf.  Stories get people interested and I think golf needs a new story. I will pull for him and hope it works out but there are so many factors that come into play you just do not know, But I can hope.
    • Day 114: 4/19/24 Chipping and putting practice. Tried a little hinge and hold with good results, which has never been the case during a real round. Playing tomorrow and eager to play.
    • I don't think I've found any of the Good Good stuff, or the guys that were once a part of it, very interesting.
