I have a few questions about 2 different shafts. I was wondering if someone could tell me the main differences and good or bad things about these two shafts...
1. True Tempo Dynamic Gold steel Shafts
2. Precision Rifle Steel Shafts

I am wanting some information on these as these will be either of the shafts I use for my current clubs as I have decided to stick with what TM Burner oversized clubs and put different shafts in them and these are the two I will be using...any info good and bad would be great, thanks in advance!!!!

True Temper (not Tempo) are the standard shaft. You really can't go wrong with them, and they're cheaper than Rifles. You're just starting out. I doubt you could tell the difference, even in a few years, between the two. The rifles offer a different "feel" to them. They're both good shafts and a lot of people use 'em both (though, by far, the TTs lead of course, 18:1 or so).

Why are you sticking with the current irons and re-shafting? Re-shafting such old clubs still won't change the lie angle of the clubs, and for $100 more you can get an entirely new set of irons. Last time you mentioned it you said you were getting some end-of-year new irons...

I have decided to stick with what I have and not spend that much more money at this time...I was seriously thinking about getting a whole new set of everything but couldnt talk myself into spending that much money and wouldnt be able to tell the difference in my game for awhile from now. I went to Golf Usa and got fitted and everything and he is going to change the lie and everything with my current irons and get the shafts for $100.00. I thought it would be the best thing for me to do at this time. I hope it works out well for me. The two I can choice for 100.00 is the TT and the Rifles and I was just wondering the differences good or bad but it is great to know they are both really good shafts, that was one concern of mine. Right now I am thinking about the Rifle shafts but again more info regarding both would be great. I have been swaying back and forth but I am sticking with this decision!!!! I just got a Odyssey Dual Force 2 putter yesterday and the Titliest Vokey 54 degree wedge and with the new shafts I am getting monday I hope to have a little better success in 2006!!!

Again more info about the 2 shafts would be great!!!! As I am doing this Monday on my day off

I can only tell you that True Temper Dynamic gold shafts are by far the most widly used shafts in golf. That includes the PGA Tour. I had a set with rifles in them for a time and they were alright but I really preferred the TT.

I think it's been said elsewhere on this forum that this is a good analogy:

Dynamic Gold:Pro V1x::Rifle:Pro V1

My point remains: I'd go with the True Tempers because you don't have enough feel to tell the difference anyway. No need to get into the more exotic stuff yet.
