I have been trying to find what is the "longest" driver out right now. I am thinking about getting a new one and just wanted to see what you guys have heard \ saw. You do a search and every club is "the longest ever in the world".

You would have to get fitted to see what driver/shaft combo would give you the most distance. Anyone can say "MY DRIVER HITS LIKE 500 YARDS!!!!!"

but who cares about distance if you can't control it right? 250 in the fairway is better than 300 in the trees

On the fitting cart it was the FT-5 with the Xcon6, I did try the new burner with the xcon5 but the FT-5 combo was easily 15yrd longer.

There are so many head/shaft combos that it would be impossible to tell you the one that will be the longest for you. It only takes time and money and you could find the combo that give you 10-15 more then your off the shelf driver. Then you have to ask yourself what would you rather pay for, distance or accuracey....I would probably give up 15yrd in distance to be 15yrd closer left or right to where I was aiming.

Bombsquad golf said it should be an xcon-5 in an FT-5 head (highest ballspeed #'s for shafts and heads). But I would put money on the new ADAMS 9015d or Ping G10. Mitsubishi is coming out with a new shaft called the FUBUKI which should be a great shaft as well.

don't they all have the maxed out COR?
the only thing that will make the ball go longer is lighter and longer shaft to increase swing speed.

Launcher 460 10.5° <BB Solution 130 R>
Wishon 949MC 16.5° <SK Fiber Tour Trac 80 R>
3DX DC Ironwood 20°, 23° <UST SR2 R>
MX-23 5-PW <KBS Tour R>
Vokey 250.08, SM54.10, SM58.08 <DG Wedge> Callie 33.75"TLT Series 4MOI matched

Right.

The longest driver out there is the one fit to your swing to maximize your launch conditions and with the right length, weight, etc. so you can hit the ball on the center of the clubface.
