So I was playing in the Omaha Metro Championship. I was playing along and had made par on 1,2,3,4, and bogey on five. On six I hit my drive behind a tree. I punched it out to about 40 yards and got it up and down due to a very good ten foot putt IMO. When I was walking off the green I said to myself, "now you go . thats the mode changer you need."

Sure enough, I smack one down the middle on the next hole, a par 5. I then pured a 3 iron from about 220 over a bunker to about 5 feet and made eagle. That was the first hole.

The next hole was a 148 yard par 3 slightly into the wind. I flew an 8 iron into the hole.

I then went on to birdie the next three holes and shoot 67. It was the craziest thing that ever happened to me on the golf course. I played those 5 holes in seven under!

Whats the craziest stretch of holes you ever had?

A few months ago I got four pars and a bogey in the final five holes to break 100 for the first time. Funny how my stretch was five holes as well.

First... congrats on your 67. What a great time to put that string of holes together.

My craziest 5 holes ever was at my club one evening about a month ago. I went initially to hit balls on the range. I saw that there was nobody on the first tee of the North course and decided to jump on and play a quick nine.

First hole... smacked a tee shot that split the middle of the fairway without a warm-up. Hit a wedge to within 8 feet of the pin... missed the bird and settled for a par. Trust me, off an 18 Hcp starting off like that was wonderful.

Second was a Par 5. Got on in regulation. Holed a 10 footer for a birdie. Now I'm getting really excited. What a great start start.

Third was a Par 3... 185 yard. I smack a hybrid 20 feet by the pin and two putt for another par. Now I'm starting to get scared.

Fourth shot off the tee is another dead shot down the middle. I bounce a 6-iron onto the green about 20 feet from the stick. Another two-putt and another par. Geeeesh! This is starting to get a little unreal.

Fifth hole my tee shot found the first cut down the right side and I grabbed a 3-wood to get the distance I needed uphill to the green. I leave it 5 feet off the green and bump it up to 3-feet. I use my 8-iron to tap it in for another par. Now, I'm thinking I've had a major revelation and I've crossed that threshold to the holy grail of self-realization... I catch up to an older gentleman that was waiting for me. He complimented me on the par. I told him it has been an unreal five holes. We laugh and tee off the sixth.

The next four hole I proceed to completely unravel and go double, quad, double and triple... I was physically exhausted, mentally drained, and felt as though I had never picked up a club before. It was definitely CRAZY!

I'm looking forward to my next encounter like that.

Nothing impressive: I've finished off par, birdie, par, birdie. Thats about it. I've never gotten an eagle in my life

BTW love these threads, where golfers shoot rediculous scores for their handicap.

So wow you went: par, par, par, par, bogey, par, eagle, ace, birdie, birdie, birdie?

Did you win the tournament?

I got second in the tournament. I shot 76 the day before. Although that still isnt that terrible of a round for me, it was just too big of a mountain to climb. I lost by 7 shots. THe winner shot 70-66.

That is probably the most amazing finish ever achieved. Like what happened? Can you explain it and how you felt? I need something like this. Maybe a little more realistic though

I can't beleive that. Amazing.

It was the biggest whirlwind of emotion i have ever experienced. i don't honestly know how to explain it.

One of the biggest things I was concerned about was the ball though. After making a hole in one, most would put the ball away and keep it safe. I kept playing mine, which worked out well. I would have killed myself if i lost the ball though

That is quite the impressive streak! this past weekend I had quite the up and down 3 hole stretch. Started off of the 5th hole, a 520 yd par 5, hit my drive a bit to the right and caught a good bounce off of some dry grass and ended up only 160 yds to the hole for my second shot (360 off the tee for you slow pokes out there hit a 9 iron 3 feet to the hole and made eagle. next was a par 3, 205 yds hit my tee shot out of bounds and made a triple bogey 6!!! the the next hole is a short 285 yd uphilll par 4 with trouble EVERYWHERE....i drove the green and missed my eagle putt but had a 3in. tap in for birdie. it was pretty damn wild!

after shooting a 42 on the front at a practice round a week before a tournament in 30 mph winds .. i went

double, birdie, birdie, par, birdie, birdie, par par to finish the 9 at 34 (doubled the 10th), lol.

this was in 30mph gusty winds which made sticking those iron shots for birdie in close that much better.

Stack System’s marketing materials inflate apparent swing speed and distance gains through selective presentment of data without qualification that purported gains are not the result, in whole or part, of its training protocol and products. * Yes, I'm joking about abbreviating both "SS." SuperSpeed wants: A judgment that the Stack System has disseminated false and/or misleading information in violation of federal and Illinois law. The deletion of all false advertising distributed and recall of all packaging containing false advertising and a requirement that Stack System issue notices (written or otherwise) to that effect to all current distributors and retailers of its products and all distributors with whom Stack System has done business in the past eighteen months. Written confirmation within 30 days of an injunction detailing the manner and form in which Stack System has complied. An order that Stack System disseminate corrective advertising informing consumers, the trade, and the public of Stack System’s unlawful conduct. 3X all profits received by Stack System as a result of its unlawful actions. 3X all damages sustained by SuperSpeed (as a result of Stack System’s actions) The cost of the action All reasonable attorney fees All other relief to which SuperSpeed are entitled and such other or additional relief as just and proper. Oy.
    • I'm not doing this for the hundred and twentieth time. Sorry in advance, but you get the massively abridged version. Those guys also benefited from the weaker/shallower fields. Also, Watson's career doesn't overlap with Jack's like many think it did. Tom is nearly a decade younger. Jack won only like four majors only after Tom won his first. And Tom won more British Opens than he did all three of the other majors combined, as it was his specialty (not Jack's). Arnie's career similarly doesn't overlap Jack's as much as many think.   Jack would also tell you Tiger was the better golfer.
    • Weaker depth of fields for sure. Some of the top level guys with Jack were pretty awesome. Tom Watson had the lead on the 72nd hole of the 2009 British Open, an event where Tiger missed the cut. Old Tom was almost 60 years old. Jack himself at age 58 finished Top 10 at The 1998 Masters and scored better than Tiger, who won The Masters by 12 shots just a year before that.   The success of both Tom & Jack in older age gives some hope that maybe Tiger can find the magic again at some point. He’s still trying to figure out how to build the stamina for 72 holes after the leg injury. I would love to see him jump on the leaderboard in the coming years. I know a lot of people have given up on him at this point, but that was also true from 2014 to 2017 with the back injuries. He had a hell of a resurgence in 2018 & 2019. Would be fun to see it again.
    • Perceptive rules question by caddie unlocks Tour pro’s ‘dead zone’ relief A perceptive rules question by Xander Schauffele’s caddie, Austin Kaiser, unlocked “dead zone” relief during the Wells Fargo Championship.
    • I ran across an interesting new clip, Johnson Wagner went into that spot with the Referee who allowed the relief.  Apparently there was a perfectly reasonable shot to be made, as Johnson clearly demonstrated, so relief from the TIO was perfectly appropriate.
