My frustration level was very high today.

I have been having a terrible time off the tee lately. So I decided today to keep the driver in my bag and hit a 3 iron off the tee.

But I'll be damn if I didn't push everything off to the right. And just enough to sit in the trees. The course I mostly play is relatively easy, except it has a lot of trees. And under the tress is loose pine straw. Total pain to hit off of. So if you stay in the fairway off the tee, you can do well. Otherwise....

So anyway, I gave up about 50 yards off the tee to stay in the fairway, and %$#$%!!@@####!!

Afterward I hit another bucket of balls in the range and hit it straight.

So there's my post golf venting for the day. I hope everyone enjoyed it.

I play with Idea A2 OS hybrids.
But not for much longer .

Do you think you might be possibly over swinging on the tee box? At the range most dont over swing as much as on the tee, so wondering if that seems to be the issue.

Try just swinging easy. Ive found that when I try to kill the ball, I use too much arms which results in a push (ball goes right).
I found that if I focus on doing a full shoulder turn and rotate my whole body through the shot, I hit the ball much straighter.
I suck off the tee too, so dont feel like you are the only one.
Another idea would be to hit your 3-wood, 5-wood or hybrid off the tee. Most people hit their 3-wood almost as far as they do their driver, but their 3-wood is a lot easier for them to hit well.
Something to consider...

Maybe so. I do have a tendency to try to kill the ball.

Yeah no point in killing it if you're hitting it OB.

Yesterday I missed every fairway on the front 9. On 10 tee box I stood and watched the local pro on the range hitting his driver. He wasn't rushing through ball after ball, and he was very (exageratedly) smooth in his tempo, takeback-transition-swing-followthru, it was all so fluid. After watching I hit one long with a perfect little draw.

slow down .
