I am looking to pick up this putter but I have heard about fakes running around so would like to get some opinions on this. He didn't take any pictures of the head cover. I can get a pretty good deal on this just want to make sure it is legit. Thanks

get a photo of the underside of the grip. the serial number on these Studio Style is below the grip.

Looks real to me. the paint looks legit. get the serial number, call scotty to verify.

Does anybody else have an opinion on this? It doesnt come with the divot tool which I have heard is a sign of a fake.

just cuz it doesn't have a divot tool doesn't mean it's fake.

It looks a lot like mine. Is it new? If not that would explain the lack of a "pivot" tool. Does it have a headcover?

Not all Scotty Camerons come new with divot tools.

Neither of mine come with them from the factory. There aren't even holders for them on the headcover.

I suppose you'd have to do some research and see which models do / don't.

Take a look at the putter archive on Scotty's webpage and look at that model and see what you think.

This is the model that is most commonly sold as a fake.

I would like to see a photo of the cover because the stitching is a giveaway, as is the lack of a tool if it is new. But the close up photos seem OK to me. I am curious as to why he didn't photograph the cover or the face, because they give you a good idea. The insert is not an insert at all. But this one looks OK. Make sure the red is a bright red and not a sort of plum colour, which is another giveaway.

absolutely right. the headcover is cheaply made and the O, R, and M are misprint. also, the bottom side of the club (sole) on a fake is really shiny, due to cheap recycled scrap metal.
