An interesting read,

this is :
Lee Janzen is a two-time U.S. Open winner (1993, ’98) who also counts a Players Championship among his eight PGA Tour victories. From 1991 through 2004, Janzen never finished outside the top 100 on the money list. In fact, for 12 consecutive seasons during that stretch, he resided in the top 70, and in all but one of those years, Janzen played in the Bay Hill Invitational, a tournament that has slipped a bit in terms of drawing premium fields and retaining its status as one of the biggest "non-majors" on the schedule. After finishing 155th in 2005, Janzen sat down and penned a handwritten note asking Bay Hill officials for a sponsor’s exemption. He was declined, which doesn’t mean much until you look at some of the guys who were given free passes into Arnie’s party:Mike Hulbert, Bob May, Dicky Pride, Sam Saunders.

Well, as one of Janzen's biggest fans, this obviously doesn't really make me too happy. I can honestly understand him being declined because he hasn't played very well the past few seasons. However, some of the other guys that were invited obviously don't stack up to Janzen's credentials.

Not every golfer can say they have as many U.S. Open and Players Championship wins as Tiger Woods.
