Hey Everyone. Sorry if this was covered before, and i know there have been some reviews on both but I was wondering what your opinions were on these 2 models.

I am in the market to buy a push cart, I am just having a hard time picking which one I want. If any of you own either model and can tell me why you picked that particular one or if you have one but would have preferred the other can you let me know why?

Thanks in advance.

I have the Clicgear 2.0 and my golf partner has a Sun Mountain Speedcart v2. Seeing both on a regular basis I've found they both have advantages and disadvantages. I'll just reference the Clicgear's advantages and disadvanges compared to SM.

The Clicgear folds down smaller (and thus takes up less space), is easier to collapse, has wide no-air tires (won't sink into wet turf and no flats). However, it is slightly heavier (only slightly, though), doesn't roll as easily in rough or wet grass (because of wider tires), the drink holder is too small for a gatorade or something along those lines.

Both are very good carts, though. I was conflicted when I went to purchase one and ended up buying the Clicgear because I liked that it folded down easier and into a smaller size than the SM. My only real complaint is with the drink holder being too small, which was the one thing I didn't even really notice when I was comparing them. I really like mine and would choose it again between the 2, but it would be great if I could get the best of both in one model. Maybe Clicgear 3.0. I also purchased the spike cleaner brush for mine and really like that. It just snaps on the cart and is always handy for cleaning the shoes.

I have a Clicgear version 1 and just bought a Sun Mountain v1.

The only reason I bought the Sun Mountain was the bag I liked would
not fit on Clicgear. I have the MPB and the foot that expands the legs
on the bag sticks out enough that the single down tube of the
Clicgear makes it sit crooked.

The Sun Mountain has 2 Down Tubes and the foot fits between them.

Both are great carts and each roll equally smooth and easy.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies. I think I am leaning more to the Clicgear. It looks to be a little more rugged. I wish it came with a little cargo net though...

How does the Clicgear 2.0 feel or sound when you roll it on the cartpath?

I've had my Sun Mountain for a few years now. It's been flawless. I had to call customer service twice for a small part * . They send me the items free and without question. It was some of the best customer service I ever experienced.

Aside from the compact folded size of the Clic gear (which for some can be a huge deal), I would say the carts are of equal quality. I have the optional seat for my SM which I'm not sure is available for the Clic gear. The seat is wonderful beginning around the 15th fairway. Also, I do like the pneumatic tires on the SM.

But, I would buy a Clic gear with no regrets.

With all that said you should know my current preferred "caddy" is a remote controlled Eagle Compac. When all is said and done, there's nothing easier to push than a button.

* I needed a lug bolt which fell off unnoticed, and the keyhole hook for the sand bottle snapped when I rolled it into a ditch

I've had a Clicgear 2.0 since the fall and really like it. It folds easily, rolls great (not noisy on cart paths as earlier asked about) and has good features. I love the umbrella holder on it.

I've had Sun Mountain bags before and they make great products too, so I'm sure it is quality.

I love the umbrella holder on it.

I totally agree! The umbrella holders on these carts are fantastic! You stay so much drier that your cart riding pals. Plus you can roll your dry butt right up to the edge of the green. This is one of the best features on these puppies! Even though they make you look like an athletic hot dog vendor, the way they keep you and the sticks dry is impressive. I usually clip a towel on one of the umbrella ribs and use it to dab everything.

I have the clicgear 2.0 as well. I bought it last fall so I haven't used it all that much but I bought it for the small size. Nice if you drive anything that isn't an SUV or Minivan.

I only have one complaint and I am not sure if it's just the Clicgear or if the SM also have the problem. I found that the because you golf bag is rarely balanced, especially since the bag itself is not built to be balanced. Usually there is a larger pocket on one side then the other on the bag so the weight is rarely balanced on the bag. This makes the push cart not got straight. Agian, this could be an issue with all the push cart but it would not stop me from getting the clicgear again.

Thats good to know. I will just have to be careful on which bag I use on it. Probably my cart bag. Thank you for the heads up.

I bought my Clicgear a few weeks ago and have walked 45 holes with it so far, no complaints at all.

Clicgear is fantastic. People stop when they see, how I unfold / fold it.

The only negative I would list, is that the handbrake sometimes is not really working smooth. You might have to roll the cart a bit then it will work.

Releasing the handbrake is again on the plus side. It goes really fast and easy.

Well it arrived today. This thing is Nice!

It is alot bigger than I thought though, at least when it is unfolded. I will compare it when I am out tomorrow.

It is cool though.
