because wedges wear out the fastest (grooves), would purchase a new wedge. I actually just did this (MacGregor Vfoil sand wedge)

I stick with putters for a loooooong time.
Driver every 5 years
Long irons every 6 years
Wedges every 4 years

I'll get something new earlier if there is a breakthrough in technology.

HiBore XLS Tour 9.5*
Adams Fast10 15* 3W
A2OS 3H-7iron 60* LW
8iron Precept Tour Premium cb
9iron and 45* PW 50* GW 56* SW m565 and 455 VfoilPutter Anser Belly Putter Ball in order of preference TPblack e5 V2  AD333

ATM, I have everything I want.

I wouldnt mind a blade style 3I just to practice with at the range. I figure if I could learn to hit with a bladed 3I, it should help increase accuracy with my other clubs.

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

Titleist 913 D2 9.5* w/ UST Mamiya ATTAS 3 80 w/ Harrison Shotmaker & Billy Bobs afternarket Hosel Adaptor (get this if you don't have it for your 913)
Wilson Staff Ci-11 4-GW (4I is out of the bag for a hybrid, PW and up were replaced by Edel Wedges)
TaylorMade RBZ 5 & 3 Fairway Woods

Cobra Baffler T-Rail 3 & 4 Hybrids

Edel Forged 48, 52, 56, 60, and 64* wedges (different wedges for different courses)

Seemore Si-4 Black Nickel Putter

Augusta National

Man GREAT ANSWER!!!!! Thats quick wit right there!

I would go to Scotty Cameron and have a putter made "for me" custom from Scotty himself.

Augusta National

I'm inclined to agree.

But, on the subject of golf equipment , I would probably pick some kind of wedge.

Id buy a Ping G10 3-wood. I like my Mizuno F-50, but its a little beat up (has some nicks and scratches on the sole from the previous owner) and while it works fine, its a very ugly club.
Ive been keeping an eye out on Ebay for either a G10 or G5 3-wood, but havent found a deal on one thus far. Before I pay $100 for a used one on Ebay, I'll spend $200 on a new one.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

Woods: :mizuno: JPX 850 9.5*, :mizuno: JPX 850 15*, :mizuno: JPX-850 19*, :mizuno: JPX Fli-Hi #4, :mizuno: JPX 800 Pro 5-PW, :mizuno: MP T-4 50-06, 54-09 58-10, :cleveland: Smart Square Blade and :bridgestone: B330-S

    • this topic brought to mind one my favorite golf-spectator memories. Back when, living in Santa Barbara CA, parked in my yellow cab just behind the 10th tee  (c. 380 yard par 4) at SB Muni golf course while eating lunch. A twosome comes by, and first up is this fat little mexican guy who takes a kinda squirelly practice swing, then addresses the ball and bashes a long, high, perfectly straight drive up to w/in about 5 yards of the green. Other guy is dressed to the 9's, pulls out what looks like a $300 driver....and hits a maybe 150-yard pop fly. Slams clubhead to the ground and yells, "it's fat! It's fat! Everything is fat today!!"  And that's how I learned what a "fat" shot is.
    • day 57. Technique practice in the net. Really trying to slow down.
    • It may not be surprising that in the previous 7,064 posts, this particular point has been discussed. To which I will counter: If we're talking about results, why only the majors? Unless you know something that I don't, neither of us are in any position to judge whether Woods or Nicklaus lived their overall life better, not that such a thing is even objectively measurable, nor is it relevant to the discussion.
    • As we've had to tell other people, the topic is which is the better GOLFER, not human being.
