I have worn an area of my sand wedge about the size of a quarter. Unfortunately, its not the area of the sweet spot, it's about 2 grooves lower and more towards the toe.

I assume that I must be hitting the same spot on all my irons. So my question is how do I hit the sweet spot more often. I realize without seeing my swing this might be a difficult question to answer. But if you know of some quick tips or drills that might help I would appreciate it.

A more knowledgeable and/or lower handicap player may tell you different but I would say you would need to get more consistent with your set up, and get more consistent with ball position for different clubs.

Get your pre swing routine down and make sure you're setting up property and you should start making better and more consistent contact.

Just my 2 cents.

Pick up some impact tape and spend some time at the range to see where you're making contact with your irons. (In the event you don't want to pay for impact tape you can also just use making tape - it's harder to see the impact spot but is still visible for a few shots). Once you see where you're making impact most consistently, you can start to make adjustments to fix it yourself. It's easier to do this with the instant feedback the tape gives you. Obviously a lesson is always the best option, but this is the next best thing. Besides, fixing a swing flaw yourself can help you longterm to recognize your problems and know how to fix them (or at least have an idea). Things to watch for when using the tape - where is impact; what is ball flight (the direction as well as height) and what direction is the ball starting.

Start the process with half swings and move up to full swings, checking the impact on each swing (at least until you can recognize where impact was made based purely on the feel). I still do this myself when my game seems to be 'off' a little.
