Anyone with any experiences with it? Right now I'm not at a place where I think I'd want to spend $300+ on a Driver and the 5000 is about $130 to $150.

I'd like to check it out...does anyone know if I can still check this driver at a Golfsmith on a launch monitor or not? I've been told I should have a Stiff shaft so and I'm considering 9.5 or 10.5...would I be able to hit those lofts at Golfsmith or are the 5000 Demo's no longer available?

I'm not sure if they still have them new, but at my Golfsmith there were a couple on the used rack and demo rack. Pretty sure there should be some at yours.. I just got rid of mine last week. It served me really well, but I gotta say this s9-1 is out of this world.

I have the driver in 9.5 stiff and love it. No problems working the ball with this driver and even off center hits go a good ways. The sound was a little weird at first but now i dont notice it.

i hit it yesterday compared to the FT-3, R7 Limited, and HiBore XLS. I like you didn't want to spend over 200 on a driver and my specs showed that the Nike 5000 had the best launch numbers and i had a clubhead speed of 105 versus 99-102 for the other drivers. The aldila vs proto shaft was very good and nearly worth the price of the club alone. I would highly recommend it. I was about to get it but I'm going to get the R7 limited because of the shaft and the price of 170, i couldn't pass it up.

The 5900 drivers are going for $139 locally right now.

I've enjoyed mine. It is fairly forgiving and length is solid. Ball flight is high....I'm getting about 95% carry now.....if I were gonna do anything different it would be to go two degrees lower....to the 8.5 model.

Yeah the 5900's pretty cheap too...I figure I might him them both but I'm leaning on the 5000...how's the stock shaft though? It seems like online you can't really get the Adila VS or UST V2 unless you go 11.5* or more...I'm not sure about instore but I'm hoping they'll have them. It seems from what I've read online those two shafts are much better than the Diamana stock - does it really make that big of a difference?

My first driver was the SQ5900, which is cheap everywhere. That thing is crazy long off the tee. Good club, just requires a better swing than I have to be accurate with. I still have that driver, and I use it at the range once in a while to compare to my new driver. Its always longer, but never straight.

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

Titleist 913 D2 9.5* w/ UST Mamiya ATTAS 3 80 w/ Harrison Shotmaker & Billy Bobs afternarket Hosel Adaptor (get this if you don't have it for your 913)
Wilson Staff Ci-11 4-GW (4I is out of the bag for a hybrid, PW and up were replaced by Edel Wedges)
TaylorMade RBZ 5 & 3 Fairway Woods

Cobra Baffler T-Rail 3 & 4 Hybrids

Edel Forged 48, 52, 56, 60, and 64* wedges (different wedges for different courses)

Seemore Si-4 Black Nickel Putter

Yeah your going to have trouble finding this club new at a Golf retailer. Might have some luck with it on the used racks.

They have a 11.5 degree Nike Sumo 5000 with a UST Proforce V2 in stiff and regular. Also the Aldila VS Proto Blue in stiff and regular.

I was not personally too fond of the 5900, not sure if it was the head or the shaft.

Well it's in stock at my local Golfsmith when I checked instore pickup at Golfsmith.com...Also if anyone's interested, www.Edwinwatts.com has 10.5* with a stiff Adila VS shaft in it for $150...For myself, I purchased a new 9.5* with a Proforce V2 on eBay for $138...couldn't help myself

Just purchased one of these for $150. Went to the range and planning on playing Friday and Saturday. From range sessions it seems like a good driver, looking forward to seeing how I perform with it come this weekend.
