I am purchasing AP1s soon and they need a new home, I was between two stand bags. My choices were either Titleist Lightweight Stand Bag or the Ping Hoofer Vantage. I know both will be great bags but would like some feedback. I'm aware of the great reputation of the Hoofer and would like to delve but would appreciate some opinions before I decide.

I'm interested in feedback on these also, but also curious what people think about the Ogio Vaporlite.

I currently have a Hoofer (circa 1996) and its finally time to give in to a new bag. Its my old high school bag with team name and logo all over it, and its time to move on I figure ;). It's actually in really good shape for a bag thats seen 500+ rounds.

Whats in my Four5....

Generally speaking, Ogio makes quality bags. I've not played with the Vaporlite specifically, but I had an Edge for awhile and it was a nice bag. I ended up swapping it for a Nike Sasquatch this past Fall for the individual club compartments.

Ogio makes good bags, I had a Ozone standing in the check out and decided I liked the Mizuno bag better so I orded that.

I had an ogio earlier in the year but the legs were crap-tastic so I took it back. But I believe it was just the particular model I bought.

I have also been looking around at a new stand bag. I currently have the Nike Sasquatch as well because of the individual pockets and I have been looking to see if there was a bag any better and lighter out there.

For my opinion on the Sasquatch bag, I really like it. At times it feels a bit heavy but that is probably due to me filling it full of crap. It has plenty of pockets and so far the legs have held up well.

This. My Sasquatch stand bag is my favorite piece of equipment. it fits on carts ok, and is perfect for everything else I want it for: 14 way divider, light, great shoulder straps, legs pop out well, looks fantastic. Its about 170 new but you can find old models (different colors) for 1/2 that. I rant and rave about my bag to every golfer I know.

Quick related question, I found a Taylormade MAG F1 stand bag on sale for $99, but it weights 10 lbs, Seems a bit heavy for a stand bag... is it worth it or will the weight get to me?

Does anyone use the Founder Club 13 eay stand bag?

If you walk that is alot of weight. A few pounds makes a huge difference. I have an old titleist walking bag. The bigger version, it is nice, but I wish I bought the LW version.

I would get the lightest possible bag if you are walking. You can find a really nice lightwieght walking bag for that or less.

I love my vapor lite.

The only downside is, its starting to show some wear and its only a year old-but I am at the course at least 5 days a week and I really don't go out of my way to baby anything. Its got plenty of pockets for walking, and I will never again buy a bag that doesn't have a water bottle holder I can easily reach while walking.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
